Notice: Any candidates who wish to join. We will be conducting our ballot draw this afternoon December 23rd. Starting at 4PM.

2414 State Highway 36 S, Caldwell Tx 77836

We will get down to business at 4pm sharp and keep things moving as the holidays are here. I will video the process for all those who cannot attend but would like to review the process. All candidates are welcome to attend, but attendance is not required, nor does it have an impact on your placement on the ballot if you are in a contested race.

If you are not in a contested race, you will automatically be selected for Place 1.

We will start at the top of the ticket and work our way down.

Sorry for the short notice but as many of you are aware. The election calendar is very condensed this year and timelines are close together. Candidate certification ended Monday night late, and ballot drawings must be submitted to the state tonight.

This is a longer Sunday post but I wanted to share this story with you from this week.

Tiger, (our 14-year-old, diabetic cat) went missing. He’s Jake’s cat that we have had since Jake was in Kindergarten. Tiger slipped out of the house while Jimmy and I were doing our front door Christmas decorations on Monday night. We didn’t realize he was missing until Tuesday morning 😥.

Jimmy had to leave town so I spent the early morning looking and calling for Tiger in the pasture. We live in the country with lots of predators. I was not optimistic and didn’t have a lot of hope of finding him alive.

Walking and calling, I came across this Indian Paintbrush wildflower. It was hard to believe my eyes. I said to the little flower blooming, “What are you doing blooming on Nov 30? Are you early or are you late?”

These wildflowers typically bloom in the early spring.

Was the Indian Paintbrush early or late? What God has put on my heart this week is that it doesn’t matter. What’s important is when it’s your time to bloom, it’s the right time! Whether you’re young or old, new career or established career, no matter where you are in life…you can bloom and whatever time it is, it’s the right time!

The other part of the story is that Tiger was gone all day but Jimmy never gave up hope and guess who showed up late Tuesday night?! Yep! Tiger Jacob Robert the cat!

When it’s your time to bloom, its your time!!! And, never give up hope! Have a great week knowing you will bloom at your right time!

“Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” Peter 5: 6-7
