Don’t forget!! If you are planning to attend open gym and try out for volleyball this upcoming school year, you must have an updated VHSL physical. If you had a physical before May 1, 2024, you need to get an updated VHSL physical before July 1, 2024, to continue attending open gym and tryout in August. Contact Kathy Cole at Oasis Wellness Spa, if you need a VHSL physical! She is located beside Belk, in the Claypool Hill Mall! Kathy and her staff are efficient, kind, and top notch!

We had such a great turn out on Thursday! This is so exciting! 💙🏐💙🏐

Because of the amazing turn out, we are making a bit of an adjustment to our schedule. From now on, unless otherwise noted, JV/Varsity will go from 11-12 and Middle School from 12-1 at RMS on the dates listed on the calendar below.

Please remember that you must have a physical on file to participate in open gym, and after June 30, you must have an UPDATED (2024-2025) physical on file to participate. ***Please go by RHS or RMS to get your physical form! You have a few more forms to fill out, besides the actual physical form! ***

We will be having open gym this Thursday, June 13 from 4:00 pm-5:00 pm at RMS. Please make sure you have a current VHSL physical on file at the high school and after June 30, you must have the 2024-2025 VHSL physical on file to participate in open gym.
Other planned open gym dates: June 18, 19, 20, 25, 26, 27, July 9, 10, 11, 16, 17, 18. They will be at RMS from 11:00-12:00. I will post on this page if any changes have to be made. 🏐💙😊

District play began this week, so please come watch us tonight at VA High and back at Home on Tuesday 09/26 against Tazewell.

Congratulations to our RMS, JV, and Varsity girls on a triple win at Home at our first game of the season last night! We're so proud of our girls, and can't wait to rock it on the court again next Tuesday 08/29 at Home vs. Grundy. Please come out to support our Lady Blues!

Monday is Back to School Volleyball Camp! Get your K-8 kiddos signed up for a fun few hours of volleyball! 🏐💙

Edit: We have condensed into 1 session from 11:00am-1:30pm! All campers grades K-8 will attend the one session, and we will split into smaller groups. We can't wait!

Get ready for Back to School Volleyball Camp! Youth in rising grades K-8 are invited to attend. Our JV and Varsity RHS Volleyball players are very excited to work with young volleyball players in our community!

2023-2024 Tryouts: Monday, July 31 and Tuesday, August 1 from 3:30-6pm in the RHS gym.
Athletes must attend both days of tryouts to be eligible for JV/Varsity teams. Please bring lots of water!

All athletes must have an updated 2023-2024 VHSL Physical form on file with RHS in order to participate. Physicals must be dated May 1, 2023 or later and turned into the RHS office, along with required TCPS forms. Rising 8th graders trying out for JV must also turn in a copy to the RHS office.

Any 8th graders trying out for RHS who do not make JV can still attend RMS tryouts :)

Upcoming 4th-8th graders are invited to attend our RHS Open Gym on Monday, July 17 10am-12pm, where our Varsity and JV players will be prepping for the Fall 2023 season quickly approaching!

This is a great opportunity to continue to refine volleyball skills and technique and to get a sneak peek of how RHS JV and Varsity teams practice during the regular season 😊
