The Jersey Shore is perfect weather in October so these Pennsylvania-Delaware ladies enjoyed a beautiful retreat on the beach! Romania missionary Ana Dascalescu (Reading, PA) encouraged, prayed, and served the women who are usually the ones serving others. Colorado in the fall is popular for the DH pastor retreats! Judy and James Robinson led this recent retreat in Monument, CO. The guest couples were refreshed as they enjoyed activities, encouraging support and beautiful prayer time. Double Honor Ministries strives to fulfill 1 Timothy 5:17!

Lancaster County (Pennsylvania) retreat for pastors led by DH leaders Cathy & Jeff Marshall. Wonderful group, lovely property, and much needed rest!

Another international pastor retreat was held recently in France. DH facilitators, Caroline and Jerry Jones, hosted 4 ministry couples at their venue, La Maison de Perrine, in rural France. Guests were three British couples and one Polish couple. All enjoyed a lovely time of rest, great fellowship and encouragement, and many delicious meals. Merci!

Lavinia and Gigi Dobrin led another retreat in Romania recently for regional pastors. Two of the guests shared a video with DH on the impact of the retreat. Thank you for supporting Double Honor!

Double Honor Ministries hosted a ladies only retreat last week in Carmel, California. Led by Alesia Campbell, this group enjoyed cool temps, beautiful ocean views, and a soothing soak in the stream. Encouraging pastors, spouses, and leaders in ministry—- it’s our thing!

My name is Emilia Ciutac and together with my husband we serve God in the Northern part of Romania, in a mission of church planting.

Brother Gigi was my teacher when I was a student at the Emanuel University. I knew something beautiful was about to happen but I didn't know exactly what.

In our first day, when we all met, and brother Gigi and his wife told us what this retreat is about, I felt like crying because I never imagined someone would think of doing something like this for the pastors and their wives. I was speechless of what my ears could hear. A chance for us to stay on a such a beautiful hotel, with so many facilities for our health, in beautiful clean rooms, with delicious dishes and above all, extra time with my husband, outside the ministry...I never expected all of this to be this well-taken care of!

The schedule that brother Gigi made was very well thought. We had good sleep, we had fellowship, we had walks together, we visited beautiful places, and we didn't have to worry about how much it costs, and we had each other, we shared a lot from our ministries and we had good quality time with our spouse.

We are the youngest family in this retreat and we have learnt a lot from every family that was here with us. In this context I also could share burdens that I normally can't tell anyone else. Brother Gigi and his wife made us feel very comfortable. They were interested to know us better. Their family has a unique gift for this ministry. They have kind hearts and so much patience! They made us feel understood and loved.
Our family is focused on serving others and we didn't expect anyone to serve us back.. with so much understanding and gentleness.

In these few days we also realized what we need to improve some areas of our lives in order to take better care of ourselves ( because we often face lack of sleep, we often have exhausting daily activities for long periods of time , sometimes we worry too much as well, without realizing how much harm it can do). We will take this challenge and we will try to consider the weak parts from ourselves and work on them.

In the midst of the heat of the ministry, this retreat was like an arrival at Elim, the place of the 12 springs and 70 date palms Mark 6:31 where Jesus said to them, "Come by yourselves to a lonely place and rest a while."

I want to thank you for this opportunity that we had of being here. Thank you for making this possible! We felt cherished by the Lord through you. It was a heart -warming experience. It was beyond our imagination I don't have the words to thank you enough for this beautiful experience and I am happy that other pastors will have it too. I pray that God blesses you and reward you in a fully way.

Michell and Buddy Hunt led a pastor respite retreat this week in Branson.....rest, recover, reset, return!

Branson provides a central location for many of our pastor retreats. Guests love the variety of activities and restaurants. Susie and Jim Fuller lead four retreats a year for DH in Branson and love blessing our guests!

These guys enjoyed a pastor retreat last week in Texas with DH leader (and Board Member) James Robinson! Recreation, rest, and encouragement were provided by DH as they were challenged to balance their busy lives physically, emotionally, relationally, and spiritually.
