David Leddick was my mentor & my friend. He passed at 93 years old on Sunday March 19, 2023.

When I first moved to Miami in 2010 Reniel & Micheal Reniel N' Michael introduced me Jen Page to David.

I met with David every Sunday as he wanted to start a “blog”. He didn’t really know or care about what a blog was, but he wanted to do it!

Writing over 20+ books just wasn’t enough for him. He was in his 80s and kept creative and active ~ riding his bike around Miami Beach and was always an inspiration to me: davidsgaydish.blogspot.com

He would type on the typewriter!!! (Omg I loved this so much) and pass me his typed up “blog” posts. I would retype it into the computer and post to his blog.

It was a honor as a graphic designer and creative director myself to not only be friends but work 1x a week for a few years for the former Worldwide Creative Director of Grey advertising for Revlon in New York.

He was a BIG deal and he knew it! LOL Yet also SO humble and so kind. And he wanted you to remember that within yourself… that you are a big deal!!! He had a huge soft spot for animals and women.

There were many things I loved about him ~ his wit, his smile, his laugh, his advice on men, his Buddhist views on life, his little rescue dog Sophie that hated us all LOL (she bit me all the time then sort of became my friend) and like us all, loved him so much.

We also interviewed people about their own personal “coming out” stories. I was the gal behind the camera 🎥 You can find those on YouTube if you search “David’s Gay Dish”

I had my camera and tripod and it was such a joy for me to spend every Sunday with David and people he interviewed and hear their personal life stories.

We talked for years about life, about love, about work and as I’ve seen so many people post on his page… he absolutely shaped the person I am today.

He reminded me to be humble but fabulous, to be kind and witty, to stay positive and remember life truly is beautiful.

He left a huge beautiful mark on my soul and all of those that knew him well. He was an angel here on earth…

When I think about space, the stars, ⭐️ the universe…sometimes words can’t describe what I feel about the absolute awe of it all! I know you’ve felt it too! Do not forget & hold it in your heart ♥️ that gratefulness to be alive…get back to nature 🌳🦋 Wander, muse & wonder!

This was a few days before 🦠
This was a beautiful event filled with beautiful souls. I drummed & danced my 🍑 off. Hugged so many friends!!! Me at my BEST 🦋🦋🦋 butterflying around…oh I love to LAUGH… & then I need to retreat by myself for a week haha

is where we flourish. Where we laugh. Where we feel safe. Where we don’t feel judged. Where we can express ourselves. Where we feel estactic! Just one of the many beautiful 🤩 parts of being human.

Ive been the “fat girl” (stress ate from childhood traumas)
Ive been the nerd 🤓 (still am lol)
I’ve been the outcast (I didn’t grow up with religion…ALWAYS judged if I didn’t say I was Christian or Catholic. Someone asked me then “what are you?” I AM FREE TO DISCOVER MY TRUTHS 😂)
Ive been told I’m “too much” (that will NEVER change)
I’ve been told I’m intense (try walking in my shoes & then talk to me)

I will always be a rebel. I will never conform to our ill 😷 society. MY Heart ♥️ & my soul are always my grounding compass 🧭

I am a wild & free human who’s made a lot of mistakes & I forgive myself. Stay TRUE to YOU…even when it feels hard.



We are Infinite Muses. We have returned.

We have individual & collective “darkness”that comes with being human - curiosity & facination with violence, death & war.

SOMETHING HAPPENED TO US ALL AT SOME POINT THAT HAS CAUSED: SHAME. ANGER. GUILT. CONFUSION. REPRESSION. ANGER. REPEAT. Aka our own cycle of “darkness”

WE WERE LOCKED into our homes 🏠 last year…COLLECTIVE PTSD.

Many of us have been locking something inside of us ~ some of us our whole lives.

REPRESSION. SECRETS. & SELF SHAME. OVER & OVER & OVER AGAIN. LET THE TRAUMA CYCLE END WITH YOU. LET THE LIGHT ✨ SHINE IN.

We are taught to hold in our emotions & puritanically repress, repress, repress.

Every man that reads this: It is ok to cry, it is ok to feel. It is ok that you hurt. Stop denying the feminine inside you. Come to balance with your divine masculine & divine feminine. You will be able to feel more peace with yourself & have more intimacy with others. Trust. Feel FREE. Women are here to be cherished & loved & it is your responsibility to do the hard work of becoming whole within your self love & we will meet you THERE the best we can.

Every woman that reads this: My loves ~ you are beautiful, intuitive & FREE. Live your life for you. No man is going to “save” you. Save yourself by loving yourself. Get in touch with your divine masculine ~ logic, reason & strength & ignite your 🔥 & balance it out with your powerful divine feminine

Repeat after me: My “traumas” will not unconsciously control my life anymore. I will consciously make the effort not to spill my hurts & my pains on those that love me the most…or anyone else I come into contact with. I will ♥️ myself & ALWAYS speak kindly to myself in my 🧠

My mind works in the thurst for knowledge – history, science, art, animals, pyschology and I just love to get to know people and what they’re about – what makes them work. I’m a very introspective and deep thinker. Sometimes too much. But it’s really informed my writing skills and abilities over the years as well. I knew from an early age that I wanted my career to be in the arts. It’s lead me down a really interesting path...”
