Recently, the 3500-tonne self-propelled jack-up wind turbine installation platform, jointly developed by ZPMC, completed the installation of its keel in Nantong, marking the emergence of the prototype of the most powerful self-propelled, self-elevating offshore wind turbine installation platform to date.
The main crane adopts a dual-hook design, with the No.1 hook weighing 3500 tonnes and the No.2 hook weighing 1200 tonnes, capable of flipping a 3500-tonne single pile foundation without the need for additional auxiliary equipment such as pile flippers. Additionally, the platform's legs are as long as 136 meters, paired with 280 square meters of pile boots, breaking the previous record of 130 meters for leg length among platforms of the same type. This enables it to adapt to the construction needs of deep-sea with and soft geological conditions, making its application more versatile.
To better suit the construction needs in conditions, ZPMC independently developed a DP-2 control system with high precision, featuring functions such as automatic positioning, automatic heading, and automatic track following, and has achieved the integration of the "last mile" in on-site applications. Furthermore, the platform is equipped with retractable thrusters with a power of 3000 kilowatts for the first time, providing 360-degree thrust to enhance positioning capability.
Since January 2024, the branch of ZPMC has implemented electric , marking a significant advancement in workplace efficiency, cost reduction, energy conservation, and safety measures.
Electric forklifts have now become integral handling equipment within the workshop, surpassing previous levels of usage frequency. Prioritizing the of employees, this initiative has enhanced work efficiency and effectively curbed energy consumption.
eparted from the Changxing Branch Company's dock, heading to 's Abu Qir Container Terminal ( ).
With this shipment, all seven rubber-tyred gantry cranes for this project have been successfully manufactured and dispatched.
On March 8th, the 114th celebration of , the subsidiary of celebrated this significant event by expressing their gratitude to all female employees with a thoughtful gesture. Each employee was gifted flowers, chocolates, and beautifully crafted greeting cards, symbolizing appreciation and respect. The event was carefully documented, ensuring that these beautiful moments would be cherished forever.

Asia's inaugural 60-person service operation vessel, crafted by ZPMC, is presently undergoing sea trials. The vessel is equipped with the latest domestically developed heave functionality, also a first in China.
This gangway features active compensation capabilities, including an advanced for its heave compensation systems that ensures real-time responsiveness to the motion of the gangway. Designed to neutralize vessel movements in waves up to 3.5 meters, it ensures a stable connection for the gangway, thereby guaranteeing the safe transfer of personnel and materials to offshore wind turbines.
This innovation stands in stark contrast to traditional methods of accessing wind power platforms, significantly reducing the workload and challenges faced by operators. It creates a "safe passage" for offshore maintenance activities, ensuring true safety in transit.
Looking forward, ZPMC's research and development team is focused on refining and enhancing the current design. Their aim is to achieve lighter, standardized, modular, and serialized improvements for wave compensation gangway products, further pushing the boundaries of maritime and offshore engineering solutions.
The Changxing branch recently unveiled a newly designed corrugated plate feeding trolley, which has played a crucial role in the development of automatic welding assembly lines for corrugated plates.
This innovative trolley features an intelligent positioning system, wireless control, and a corrugated plate stacking mechanism. By automating material handling, it significantly cuts production costs and enhances the efficiency and precision of mechanical processes.

Recently, the vessels "Zhenhua 34," "Zhenhua 31," and "Zhenhua 27" were tasked with transporting 21 units of port machinery to projects in diverse locations: , Brazil's Port, Singapore's ( ) Port, and ( ) Port. The equipment sailed smoothly, heading towards the customer's dock.
The installation platform has recently achieved a significant milestone by completing the final piling work for the last four legs of the wind turbine.
For this operation, the legs, standing 50 meters tall and weighing approximately 360 tonnes, were maneuvered into place with the aid of floating cranes.
The successful completion of the piling work for the legs lays a robust foundation for the forthcoming elevation and trial navigation stages, marking a crucial step forward in the project's progress.

ZPMC's joint venture, Zhenhua, recently completed its first offshore operation and project of the new year.
In late January, the sea temperature in the project area plummeted to minus 7 degrees Celsius. Confronted with the harsh cold, the project team conducted a comprehensive on-site survey and assessment. Seizing the time in good construction conditions, they efficiently replaced the wind turbine blades in just 20 hours and successfully cleared the acceptance inspection.
Recently, the world witnessed the completion of the inaugural construction operation of the largest wide, flat, shallow-draft semi-submersible barge in Tongzhou Bay. This 45,000-deadweight tonne(dwt) semi-submersible barge successfully launched a new generation of deep-sea large wind power installation platforms. The construction involved the utilization of 16 anchor winches, all meticulously designed and manufactured by ZPMC.
In this construction operation, the efficient and collaborative coordination of the four types of anchor winches has provided crucial equipment support, showcasing ZPMC's profound technical expertise and team strength in the field of integrated control of anchor winch equipment.
Recently, the vessel 'Zhenhua 28' relocated and handled four at the in , becoming 's first quay crane relocation project of 2024.
