An adult class II malocclusion with Maxillary prominence, deep anterior over bite, gummy smile, and labially inclined lower incisors. The treatment plan invloved extraction of Maxillary 1st premolars with TADs-assisted retraction of Maxillary anterior segment and uprighting of lower incisors, followed by gingivectomy and esthetic smile improvement. Cases with congenitally missing upper lateral incisors are treated by either establishing the spaces for implant restoration, closing spaces and transforming canines to laterals, or a combination of both. This patient presented to my office with an ongoing orthodontic treatment with a plan to restore the lateral incisors with implants. However, I decided to plan it differently based on thorough examination, finishing it in 10 months, and ending up with this beautiful result. Have a fruitful week🌷

Upper lateral incisors are amongst the most frequent teeth to fall in cross bite. In this case, the delayed exfoliation of primary canine resulted in ectopic eruption of 13, cross bite of 12, severe space problem, and midline shift. The early orthodontic intervention paid off . The case was treated in 18 months. Greetings to everyone!

This patient presented with a Class II (maxillary excess) with excessive overjet, deep , which led to hyperactive mentalis muscle and lip incompetency. I started the treatment at age 12 with a high-pull headgear and placed a fixed-functional appliance (powerscope) at a later stage. The marked profile improvement was the result of orthodontic growth alteration and favourable growth pattern . No teeth were extracted! Have a fruitful day🌷

*Distalization with (Maxilla):
- Space closure with more distalization of 14 and 13, and less mesialization of and 17. This was assisted by elastomeric chains and inter-arch elastics (no were used)
*Uprighting with clear aligners (Mandible):
- Intra-arch elastics were used (inside out). Again, no were used!

Canine impaction could happen for different reasons. Failure of resorption of primary canine root is one of the most common reasons. Impacted canines could deviate platally or labially. This is a case of palatally impacted canine for which I performed a closed flap surgical exposure and bonded a chain for canine traction. IT IS CRUCIAL TO CONSULT AN ORTHODONTIST IN CASE OF ANY DELAY IN TEETH ERUPTION. Have a nice day!

The power of Orthodontics! Honestly, it surprises me every time!.

A class I with unilateral , prominant upper central incisors, retained primary LR 2nd molar (due to congenitally missing permenant 2nd premolar), deep overbite, crowding and LR canine rotation.
The primary molar was persevered in place for future implant. Composite was placed on its occlusal surface to prevent extrusion of the opposing tooth

This challenging case was referred to me by a GP. The patient was13 years old and the malocclusion was expressed in the 3 dimensions:
-Class III
-Bilateral Maxillary cross bite
-Anterior cross bite
-Severe dental crowding
-22 and 23 transposition
The key of management was to dis-occlude the jaws and expand the Maxillary arch with maximum anchorage control.
Treatment lasted for 18 months.

This case was referred to me for second opinion after being planned for surgical correction. The case was adult Class II with bilateral cross bite, anterior open bite, and severe Maxillary and Mandibular dental crowding with blocked out Maxillary Canines. I suggested a nonsurgical treatment whith extraction of upper 1st Maxillary premolars which was happily accepted by the patient and her parents. Using Damon system, I got this lovely result. My choice of expander was Quad-Helix with palatal crib to help close open bite.Treatment lasted for 14 months..
