On July 8, the Russian Federation launched a ballistic missile attack on the Okhmatdyt nuclear power plant. At least 20 people were killed across Ukraine in the attack, including at least 9 in Kyiv, according to local authorities. Dozens of people were injured as a result of the strike using more than 40 missiles of various types.

Okhmatdyt Children’s Hospital in Kyiv is one of the most important children’s hospitals not only in Ukraine, but also in Europe. Okhmatdyt saved and restored health to thousands of children.

GS Lviv and Odesa join the gathering of the .ua charity fund for children who were transferred from Kyiv to the Lviv branch of the hospital.

Together with the and the , we are collecting for a pickup truck for the Lviv PPO!

Our hub has been actively cooperating with for several years. That is why we decided to support the gathering of the Student Government. In order for our military to be more effective in protecting our city, we are collecting together for a pickup truck, the cost of which is 220,000 hryvnias.

Three days ago our Warsaw hub had a call with Ukrainian hubs and the newly established Cracow hub! 🌐

During the call, we shared our experiences and discussed challenges and opportunities. The exchange of expertise was incredibly valuable and has helped us to refine our approach and strengthen our impact.

We are grateful for the chance to connect with our fellow hubs and look forward to continuing to work together toward a common goal!

Breaking into new curatorship year with a new vision, ideas and plans from the Global Shapers Advisory Council and all Governing Bodies.

This week Lviv hub joined 500 hubs from all over the globe at the World Economic Forum in Geneva.

Ukrainian shapers at the Global Shapers Annual Summit 2022

World Economic Forum was established in 1971. Since then, Davos became one of the most powerful platform for negotiations between leaders from different cultures and backgrounds.

The number of participants is quite limited. 3,000 members have the opportunity to join it and discuss global issues across 500 sessions. The topic of this year is “History at a turning point”. And Ukraine is the party drawing the biggest attention.

Not only did Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and other Ukrainian politicians have the opportunity to address the public with a powerful speech, but young leaders too. Our Ukrainian Global Shapers delegation has already participated in a few panels and has a few more in the coming days.

They already have proven: Ukrainian voices are valuable. All of them no matter of the age and status are needed to be heard.

And we are proud. Proud to represent Ukraine at the international level. Proud of our young delegation of doing so good so far. Proud to say: “We’re Ukrainians. We’re here to raise our voices for peace”.
