Having spent years teaching guitar in schools and at workshops, Kari Riihimäki (b. 1969) also maintained a busy schedule with acoustic duo shows for almost a decade. He has done session work for a variety of Finnish and international recording artists and continues to do so to the present. Another ten year mark. This was an exceptional issue of Colossus Magazine for me because there were great articles (and reviews) on my own album Seasons and also Jouni Lehtonen's U.N.i. project which I was heavily involved with at the time. As it turns out I would later work with The Samurai of Prog, so this issue achieving a ten year mark today makes a pleasant memory.

'Now We're Strangers', the second single from Jimbo's Garage, is out now on Inverse Records. Feeling really happy about how this one turned out. It's an excellent song with huge production and everybody played and sang their heart out.

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!
And a heart-felt thank you to all of you for continuously checking out my page.
The obvious restrictions aside, for me the year 2021 was musically satisfying with contributions to the four fine releases pictured below. Also, there were plenty of other sessions for different projects and some of the new stuff will be out in the next few weeks.
One must be grateful for being lucky to work at all in these times. So, I want to thank all my collaborators, musical companions, music enthusiasts, guitar students and teachers in schools. Keep it up!
