And that's a wrap, soccer 2024! Thanks to all the volenteers, coaches, line painters, photographers, etc. We had a successful soccer season, and a fun wrap up party even if we are sad with the outcome of the Oilers game.

I can't believe the 2024 Season is coming to an end. We are busy planning our wrap up party that will be held June 24th. Your coaches will share details with you if they have a special game or scrimmage planned. You will want to find your coach; they will pass out medals & coupons to all players.
There will be 2 food trucks! Easy Squeezee Lemonade will have drinks and treats and the kiddos can redeem their $5 coupon there.

MoJo's Diner Food Truck will be there serving HOMEMADE burgers, fries, etc. from 5- 8 pm if you wish to purchaser supper. Check back later this week for a menu

ALL community members are welcome to come to get supper.

Hello everyone! We're starting up again for our 2024 season, and we are looking for 5+ parent volunteers to be Field Coordinators at Graminia School. The duties include:

- lining the fields according to Parkland Funball & Soccer League specifications;
-maintaining the lines throughout the season (this is required 3-5 times depending on rain).

All necessary equipment will be provided.

Hello! Just wanted to communicate with everyone that when it comes to inclement weather, coaches will determine if games and practices will continue as scheduled. This decision will be made late in the day. When in doubt about the status of your game or practice, please reach out to your coach directly.

The fields are lined and we are ready for Monday! Some fields are in rough shape thanks to our gopher friends, so if you have shovels and rakes, please bring them on Monday and help us flatten the mounds the gophers have made so that the kids can play on a flatter (and safer) surface.

Hello parents of U8 kiddos (6&7 year olds). We have had some unexpected withdrawals from the U8 teams, this has opened 8 spots! We will be having a lottery to fill the spots. If you are wanting to have a name in the lottery please send us an email or messenger message by end of day Friday, April 25th. *Pls note we are sorry but there are no other openings.

Hello all 2023 Soccer Players! We received notification from Parkland School Division that the Soccer Fields are CLOSED and they will not open before May 1st. For all teams U4 through U12 practice will start May 1st. We don't anticipate that the schedule will change, we will just resume the games dated May 2nd and later.

Time commitment:
Monday practice: 6:30-7:30pm at Graminia School
Tuesday games from 6:30-7:30pm at Graminia School, Blueberry School, and Meridian Sports Park in Stony Plain (depending on schedule)
Tournament the weekend of June 9th (not mandatory)

Season begins next week and wraps up June 22nd.

Hello everyone! Just letting everyone know that coaches have been emailed with team rosters and game schedules so you should be hearing from them soon. And coaches - if you haven’t received an email from us, please check your spam folder.

We are looking for 7-10 more kids to form a U15 team this season. We currently have four registrants, and we need more to form a team. If you know someone between the ages of 12-14 who would like to play soccer this season, please get in touch here or send an email to [email protected]

UPDATE: U4 games will be 45 minutes long: two 20-minute halves and a 5 minute snack break.

Hello everyone! We recently polled the community to see if there would be any interest in forming a U4 team (ages 2 and 3), and good news - there is!

Because we are the only league with a U4 team, we needed to have enough interest to form more than one team so the kids can play a game with their peers.

If you have a child who is two or three years old and would like to play soccer this season, please sign them up (the registration form has been edited to reflect the new age group). The cost is $40, and the U4 team will play on Mondays at 6:30pm, the same time as U6, and the same time as all other age groups practice. The location will be at Graminia School.

There is one big caveat though: we need at least one more coach to commit to this age group, or we won't be able to move forward with a U4 team this year. If it turns out that we can't move forward because of a lack of coaches, you will be refunded your registration fee.

Hi everyone! We are tying to determine if there is enough interest in forming a U4 team(s) for the 2023 season, and have created a short survey to assess this. We would appreciate if you could take the time to complete the four question survey below. Please submit your responses by Tuesday, February 21st.

If a U4 team was to be formed, it would play on Monday nights at 6:30, at the same time all other teams are practicing (except for U6, who would also be playing their game at this time).

U4 Interest Survey We are gauging interest in whether or not the Graminia soccer community would like to add a U4 team to the league. Children who qualify for a U4 team must be at least two years old and no older than three years old by February 28, 2023. Please respond to the questions below to share your feedback.

We are accepting E-transfer payments this year along with electronic registration. If paying via e-transfer does not work for you, please reach out and we will make alternate arrangements.

Hello everyone! The Parkland Fun Ball & Soccer League committee meeting was held last night, and we wanted to share an update on the 2023 season!

The season will run April 18 - June 22, and the playing schedule will be the same as last year:
-Monday: team practices and U6 plays
-Tuesday: U8 plays
-Wednesday: U12 plays
-Thursday: U10 plays

There weren't enough players to form a U15 team last year.

Please note that specific team schedules won't be released until April.

The Year End Tournament date is June 9, 10, and 11 at the Sports Park in Stony Plain.

As for registration, we are moving to an online platform this year, which we hope will make the registration process more convenient for everyone. That should be up and running early next week, so stay tuned for an announcement about that.

We are always on the lookout for coaches, so please consider coaching a team this year.
