This is our first year sponsoring events and teams. We sponsored Livesidewayz and their drivers this year by giving discounts on tires and free use of our equipment during events. Andy Lacause-Wright had a rough start to the season battling car issues and a wreck that crumpled the front end but that didn't stop him from putting it back together and coming back for the double header weekend and took home the #1 spot both days and winning the series.
Congratulations Andy!!!

The MB Drift Grassroots Series has come to an end. We didn't podium during the season or make into the top spots for the season points standings, but we made strides with the new engine setup. We were mainly using the competition to progress the car and my driving some more, which definitely showed this past weekend. We started off using Fullrun tires at the beginning two rounds, then went to Kendas for the final two rounds. The car went from barely working due to all the changes that weren't playing nice together to a 509WHP monster that likes to scream at 7800RPMs. Erick from Cruzin Auto made it his mission to develop this car to what it is today. We had some parts fail this past weekend, but we are planning on pushing hard at the next Sofa King Rd.

When you're planning on having close to 500whp but show up with 100whp.
I took the wife's NB out to Rockingham Speedway's Open House with MB Drift after the 350Z had a belt tensioner fail right before loading it onto the trailer. The miata was having some weird power loss issues after running it for a few laps and was able to trace it down to a failing cam positioning sensor. It was a scorching hot on the track, but I'm glad we were able to take some riders for their first drift ride.
Come see us drifting with MB Drift at Rockingham Speedway's Open House this Saturday! Plenty to see and do, bring the family!
Don't be a fool. Get fresh rubbers for your tool!
Order before July 23rd, and your tires will be sitting at the track when you get there!
We are working with our sponsor On Point Parts to carry more Z/G parts at events to sell for those who need parts trackside. We already have a list together of common parts that people break at events, but we need your feedback on anything we might have missed.
Getting chased by Tyler Berry at Catch my drift Sofa King Rd.2. Both cars were just pouring out that Kenda Tire smoke.
This year's setup is a VQ37VHR swap with a Vortech Superchargers V3-SI that allows this car to eat these 285s with ease. We are still running 93 octane this season but are really aiming for E85 for next season.

Not exactly how we wanted our weekend to go. Didn't even make it thru qualifying to get to the top 32 for CMD'S Rd. 2. We ended up having a failing PS pump that caused the belts to shred after 2 laps. We used up all of our spare belts, and this belt decided to slip the entire run and finally leave the chat when transitioning to the last zone. Even though the car took us out of competition, I am glad we were able to get some laps in and hang with some friends. Next time, the car will be 100%, and we will be aiming for a podium.
Don't be this guy sliding off the track this weekend.
Today is the last day for ordering tires for CMD'S event this weekend with free trackside delivery. WE ARE NOT OFFERING MOUNTING SERVICES AT THIS EVENT!!!

Busy weekend while attending MB Drift's Round 1 of their grassroots series. We had the tire changing services, a car rental, and competition all in the same weekend.
We were planning on using the rental car to compete with, but we changed it up once one of MBs volunteers wanted to drift all weekend. We took our VQ37VHR swapped 350Z out and had a decent weekend, considering we were having some boost issues, and the tune was a basic tune we threw together the week before. We ended up getting knocked out in our Great 8 battle but considered the weekend a success with no major issues.
Next on the schedule is dyno/tuning at Cruzin Auto, then get the car loaded up for Hyperfest!

Tomorrow is the cutoff for ordering some yellow label sticky bois for Round 1 at MB Drift! I am placing the order at NOON, so message me before then to guarantee that your tires will be delivered to the track.
We have other brands as well if you want to try out Fullrun, Accelera, etc.
Our qualifying lap for CMD: Smoke Tires Not Drugs Presented by FuelTech. Mother nature decided for us to have a rainy day so putting power down was pretty hard. The VQ37VHR from On Point Parts ran beautifully using the tune by Cruzin Auto Performance. We had some belt issues on Saturday but Alex Lichliter helped figure out the alignment issue and we were golden for Sunday. We qualified 6th putting us on the bottom right of the bracket. We won our top 32 battle, had a OMT in top 16 ultimately losing to Joe Love who went on to win the event. We considered the weekend a success having no seat time in this setup and figuring out the issue we had. Now to get her cleaned up for Rockingham.

That Subaru street drove from NC to GA, drifted all day, then drove back to NC without fail even after driving on SC roads. That tells you how well TurboTime can build a car. Check out Luke Finks' Youtube video showing how that car screams!

Most of the time it's a drift car, this time it's a camera car. Driving a drift car hard without it being sideways is much tougher than it looks.

MB Drift Rd. 3 breakdown.
We came out swinging on this layout. Entering the sweeper at the top of 2nd before coming into a semi blind hairpin makes for some sweet chases.
Car felt dialed in practice and had a good run with Joe Busam right before qualifying and didn't want to change anything. Went out for our qualifying with a nice entry but felt a weird bump in the steering and car wanted to over rotate and couldn't save it. Came back to the pits and found our GKTech angle kit came loose, which caused an +-.5 inches of toe in-out. We tighted up kit and verified everything was right and qualified.
Top 32
Nathan McDuffie versus Joe Busam, again. Seems like I'm destined to always battle Joe or my other teammate in the top 32. Chase was nice and close at the beginning, but he was able to pull away slightly at the last outer zone. My lead was horrible, and I spun off the line, which disrupted my run-up and then had a slight understeer in the sweeper for the first time all day. Lost that battle.
Overall, it was a fun weekend hanging out with the drift family. Hopefully, we can make some modifications to our supercharger setup and come out blazing for Rd. 4.
