Bergborg holds both a deep technichal understanding and that wich I find most attractive in ropes: a focus on the relational / the interplay / the dance / the leading and following. Curiosity and attention to breathing, freedom of movement and limitation of movment (for example by attention to pressure, pacing, directionality and choosing how I place my body as a rigger), combined with a clear communication about risks and safety considerations, ensures that I learn something new every single time with Bergborg.

"I have studied with Bergborg for several periods now, both in a study-group and in private tuition. Bergborg is so very knowledgeable and at the same time respectful, humble, empathic and playful. In addition to the technical aspects, he offers so much more. How to open up for feelings while tying, how to find that special connection togheter, how to attune oneself to the desire building in the moment and let it guide the rope-play. All of those things that are so very hard to teach, but are so very important, even essential." – heval

"Taking lessons on such a wide range of themes that Bergborg offers has been great. There is a thoroughness and a depth in his interest for the ropes and what they can do, that he shares in its practical, theoretical and – not least – esoterical dimensions. The feeling that two hours somehow must have been a full day is palpable when you step out of an absolute rope-bubble and into everyday life again. Private lessons with Bergborg is something I especially recommend if you have a specific theme that you want to go deeper into and learn more about. The openness when it comes to questions and techniques is like a continuous flow, and his way of teaching is warm and full of heart. Precision and repetition means that you leave with a lot of more knowledge than when you came.
Take good notice of both the conversation and the knowledge that is offered, because it comes from someone who really cares about the ropes, about you, and especially about the person being tied."– DerAlte

"I booked private tuition with Bergborg at Kokoro after reading some feedback written by a friend, and the experience was even better than I expected. It involved so much more than just learning technique! As a teacher Bergborg is very structured, friendly and attentive. Never just dogma, but guiding the way to solve a problem och improve a technique. And in between a warm and humorous story-teller!
Because he is focussing on the meeting happening in ropes, he is constantly putting equal emphasis on the receiver and the giver, on the experience itself and how techniques can be used to improve it, inviting the sensual and erotic as well as laughter or tears of sadness.
After the lessons, I received detailed notes on email, that was great material to recall the process as we practiced the techniques back home.
Kokoro is a warm and welcoming space with good access for a wheelchair. A big plus were the piles of books with many titillating titles on rope and eroticism. I had a great weekend that made me hungry for more, and I will for sure be back." – tantgrön

"To have had the privilege to take lessons with Bergborg has opened new worlds for me. With attentiveness, warmth, respect and a magical calm, Bergborg has laid the groundwork from which I will keep on learning and let my curiosity lead me on to further developments. He is a fount of wisdom and I cherish the conversations as much as the actual tying. My warmest recommendations." – Upandabove79

"Returning again and again to Kokoro, it has become one of my absolute favorite places. Bergborg has planted, watered and cultivated an inviting garden. It is a calm space where you are invited to use ropes and a soft voice to explore beauty in suffering and ecstacy. To me, it is a temple.
I don't know any one more knowledgeable than Bergborg when it comes to the practice, history and aesthetics of Ki***ku. At the same time, he is a very humble teacher.
As a rigger, what I take from the lessons is not primarily new patterns or suspensions, but a clarified intention to see and connect with my partner – to let the ropes cultivate the area of tension between us.
Bergborg helps me understand what the ropes are doing to my partner, to the aesthetics of the scene, and to me. He is one of very few people that I trust without reservations, and there is no rope-space where I feel as safe as at Kokoro." – nous

"Rope-play is so much more than just knots and frictions. Bergborg knows how to convey how the ropes can be used to create a spiritual connection to the person tying/being tied. Through exercises and conversations you are invited to make the ropes an extention of your own body, an experience both for the person tying and the person being tied. Safety and practical issues of placement are of course important aspects during the lessons, but for the ropes to become something other than just a tool to immobilize a body, you need to know something more. This something, Bergborg knows how to share in an enthusiastic and inspiring way. On this path, the more you tie or the more you are tied, the more free your spirit becomes." – Driftig

"I took a series of private lessons, 5 x 3 hours. The content was chosen starting from what me and my partner were intrested in exploring and achieving.
We begun each lesson with a conversation about what we did last time, to see if there were things we wanted to return to, and decided on the agenda for the day. After each time, we recieved written notes about the ties we had practiced. Very structured and pedagocial. My experience was that Bergborg during the lessons could see clearly what we needed to focus on in order to delevop further, and that he tuned in well to our interests.
The lessons were a good mix of stimulating and challenging ties and had both playful and technical elements. It was all very inspiring, not least due to Bergborg's historical knowledge about ki***ku – that often gave a deeper understanding and a rich context for the techniques – but also due to the many suggestions about adaptations and alternatives that could be applied in each tying situation. Openness, playfulness and respect are words I associate with our lessons.
This series of lessons offered me concentrated learning that made it possible for me to take new steps in my technical, mental and personal development, and it has really done wonders for me as a tying person. I end this series with a warm heart, an even greater love for the ropes, and a certainty that I will come back both to Bergborg and to Kokoro." – _H_

"I took part in a Beginners mind-workshop and had private tuition with Bergborg. To come as a newbie and be so included and warmly welcomed as I was builds immediate trust.
Bergborg has seemingly infinite resourses of patience and pedagogic skill, and is shrewd and generous as a person. Loveable. In addition to gaining new knowledge, I actually had a lot of fun during these hours! I could let go of my own demands on being perfect, and focus on what is really happening in the moment instead.
We got closer to one another, my partner and I. In my diary, I wrote: 'It was what happened after, hours later, that was so special. Hard to describe. How what we had practiced opened a new kind of conversation, about us. New tracks. Absolutely unafraid of honesty and real thought. To tie, and to untie. Not just ropes." – pika

"Going to Rope Practice and private tuition with Bergborg with my partner has made it possible for us both to explore our ideas and deal with our challenges with and in ropes. We often arrived with a concrete but half-baked wish about a theme, a shape or a certain tie, and received resourceful help to make these desires real, as well as a rich context. Problems I have dealt with when being tied in certain positions Bergborg attended to in a caring and explorative way, and that has made Kokoro a place where I feel safe enough to be courageous.
Here, I found deep experience to draw on, without the teaching ever becoming dull and only-technical. Bergborg's way of teaching is characterized by a burning passion and an indefatigable sense of tact that come together to extend the realm of what is possible. I really appreciate the double perspective and the attention to the interplay and energy between me and the tying person. Here, we are both active and valued subjects. Bergborg is a loveable person sharing his knowledge in well thought through and creative ways, and to me, Kokoro is a storehouse of treasures that keeps stimulating my curiosity.
In addition to all that: The best fika in town!" – Eyr
