Be Remarkably You - Inside & Out
Inspire, Love, Encourage! There's enough BS out there, so let's remind each other we can dream more, love more, share more, be more!
#BeRemarkablyYou 💙
My foundation is based on positive encouragement, enlightenment, motivation, constant growth..... I choose to surround myself with positivity and don't get caught up with drama, gossip, exclusion. I have a bit of an addiction to quotes, videos, tools and resources that help make our days brighter and remind us to stay focused on the "little" things in life that really count.
This drawing is by Anja Rozen, a 13 year old primary school student in Slovenia. She was chosen from 600,000 children around the world to create a piece of art to show what peace looks like. She is the winner of the international Plakat Miru competition.
“My drawing represents the land that binds us and unites us.” Humans are woven together. If someone gives up, others fall. We are all connected to our planet and to each other, but unfortunately we are little aware of it. We are woven together. Other people weave alongside me my own story; and I weave theirs," said the young designer

A true favourite and inspiration to so many💙
I wrote this short blurb about Michael J Fox for the annual . This man means a lot to me. And I know he means a lot to you… ⬇️
I know Michael J. Fox.
Like, I know him pretty damn well. He’s funny. He’s warm. He’s handsome and intensely smart. He also falls a lot. Not just because he has Parkinson’s. He falls a lot because he’s unafraid to fly.
I met Mike 17 years ago. I’ve watched him raise the bar for purpose and passion. It’d be kinda lazy to simply characterize him as the greatest champion of Parkinson’s research on the planet. He’s someone who helped my dad, along with millions of others, feel less alone. It’d be kinda lazy to simply regard him as a movie star who shaped the lives of people all over the planet with a uniquely electric wit and self-aware charm. He’s the sum of these beautiful parts. And so many more.
Last year I watched Back to the Future with my 8-year-old daughter. It’s become her favourite film. And for now, that’s enough for me—and her. One more kid from one more generation sees what I saw.
I know how lucky I am to call Mike a friend. She still has no idea that I know him. I don’t need to teach my daughter the level of compassion Mike has mastered. Or teach her to tell stories the way Mike tells stories. I need to teach her that it’s OK to fall a lot. It’s the absolute best way to know you’re flying.
This video** - https://bit.ly/3Tff65r - says it all and should p**s you off and motivate you at the same time.
I saw an interview with Dr. Hadiyah-Nicole Green on The Talk about 6 weeks ago now, and was blown away with how elegantly she described her research and how her technology cured cancer in mice in just 15 days. (YES, CURED and yes, IN 15 DAYS) I decided to reach out, learn more and became a volunteer (which I shared on my feed at the time) and I have met many amazing people through the process.
What really blows my mind though, is that Dr. Hadiyah-Nicole Green, through her non-profit (Ora Lee Smith Cancer Research Foundation), has only raised $2.8M since fundraising started a handful of years ago -- $1M of which came from a grant!
The foundation needs only $10M to get to human clinical trials! Then, this technology will be that much closer of getting to the people that need it the most. 💜
This is truly revolutionary and I encourage you to learn more about this. Share this on your feed. Be part of the conversation. Stand up to help ... become a volunteer .. donate.
Here are some ways to support her and be part of the journey:

**NOTE: This video (from 2022) is not Dr. Green, it is someone sharing their thoughts on the research not being fully funded.

💙What an amazing thing to do!💙
If you know of a cafe or restaurant that does this (or something similar) in your community, please tag them (and the city they are in) in the comments so we share the love and offer our support.
Such an amazing idea

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this!!
"I just went to buy a Samsung washer and dryer from a guy and he was asking $500. I told him I just had a baby, and if he could take $400 I’d be really grateful.
I got home, hooked everything up and everything worked great. I opened up the dryer to check the lint filter and I was shocked my $400 was sitting in there. I got a message from him saying, “check the dryer, a gift for the new baby.”
Man words can not describe how grateful I am right now. I felt I had to share, big shout out to the man, David! Thank you so much!"

🍁🍂🍃 Some say that Disneyland is the happiest place on Earth. Or, maybe the happiest place on Earth is the country of Finland(I wish I was in Finland) — which consistently ranks very high in all quality of life polls. But, thanks to David Hampton, residents of Oregon would say the happiest place on Earth is a green hillside visible from Route 18 near Willamina, Oregon which sports a yellow smiley face made entirely out of fir trees, planted by David, that is visible every fall. How cool this this!!?? 🧡🌲
Always …
Carry on… ❤️

Be patient. Be kind.
Otherwise, there may not be an opportunity to get that coffee next time …
I grabbed an early morning coffee in the big apple before heading home, and saw this sign in the shop. How true! Be kind to those who show up. Everywhere. Be kind to yourself for showing up. Assume everyone is doing their best, trying their hardest.
We can all make it easier for another person. Smile, be patient, acknowledge the humanity, and keep showing up!
