Just some education on hardware cloth there not all the same. Most people use 19 gauge but we only use 16 Gauge there is a big difference. look at pic an you can see the big difference. 16 gauge on top an 19 gauge on bottom.

We have been trying out a new auto door we are now adding to the options. It has a timed open an close or manual open close. Runs on 3 double A battery's its all aluminium construction. Has anti pinch when closing as to not hurt the hens. Its $125 installed.

We are going to start using the 19 gauge 1/2 inch square galvanized vinyl coated hardware cloth. you can see your hens better inside with the black over the silver color. every builder uses the 19 gauge hardware cloth but shortly we will be switching to the 16 Gauge black coated hardware cloth which is way better then 19 gauge.
