Never Give Up!
I’m a 2 time rare cancer survivor. But no matter what I’m still in the gym 3 times a week & do push ups, crunches & cardio 3 days. Due to COVID I now work out in my basement 6 days a week. Due to an accident back in 2022 I use very light weights.
So it’s a little tougher right now to get down there. I have good days & bad days.
Like I said I am a two-time rare cancer survivor.
My 1st cancer I was 40ty years old & was told I had 4th stage nasal cancer. They gave me 8 months to a year to live. I got into Sloan Kettering as a test subject with four other guys. They literally used us as guinea pigs. Our treatments were 7 weeks of radiation everyday twice a day 25 minutes each session plus 5 cycles of chemo I couldn't complete my chemo but I did complete 3 cycles. I have a lot to say but I will cut it down as much as possible. I ended up being the only survivor the other 4 didn't survive. Not from the cancer but from radiation poisoning but what choice did we have. I was in intensive care for 30 days for radiation poisoning. But at least I am still here to talk about it. My side effect, I had to eat through a feeding tube for 2 years, couldn’t talk for 1 year, no saliva glands for 7 years. I got about 90%back, no taste buds for around 10 years I got about 80% back. I get spasm & twitches in my neck. Headaches, dizziness, & every so often I pass out!
But again, I am still here to talk about it
My second cancer was lymphoma & Non-Hodgkin’s hip cancer it ended up splitting my hip in half. My body took so much damage from the 1st cancer I was in and out of the hospital a few times because my body Couldn’t handle the chemo. On one occasion they called in a Priest to read me my last rights but again here I am to talk about it.
I believe why I survived is because no matter how bad it got, I never gave up! Before the 1st cancer I was in great shape 5’10” 220lbs in the gym 6 days a week. When I was finished with my treatments with the 1st cancer I literally shrunk to 5’5” all the radiation to my back compressed my spine. I also dropped to 130lbs. As of today I am at 175 lbs and back up to 5’8” I could live with that.
I’m not writing this to tell you how unlucky I am but how lucky I am! The other guys didn’t make it but I did so here I am to tell you no matter how bad it gets you have to stay strong!!
Believe me a few times I just wanted to end it but thanks to my family I stayed strong. At my worst point I still tried to exercise in the beginning using soup cans to curl while in bed, had my family move the stationary bike up to my bedroom starting out doing 1 minute a day and working my way back up. It was a tough road, but I am still here and appreciate every day!
I’m not going to kid you I have good days and bad days but I never stop or look back! Always look forward.
One good thing came out of the cancer it made me appreciate my family so much more and the little things in life. I accepted death but when you are lying in that bed and the priest is reading you your last rights all you can think about is leaving your loved ones behind. At that time my daughter was 6 years old and my son one. I fought so hard thinking who going to take care of them. Please god help me I kept repeating to myself. That night I died went through that tunnel and returned. I got a second chance and I now spend as much time with my family as possible & I do!
Another reason why I wrote this was to give hope to those who lost all hope! If I can help one person that is good enough for me.
If you or a loved one is battling cancer and need to talk, please feel free to contact me. Thank you for following.

Hi my name is Ronnie Rinaldi after my second cancer when I was done with the chemo my hair didn't grow back from the top to the back. I hated it I used to have thick hair So like most guys I started with the hat wearing but when you are inside you have to take off that hat unless you are going to keep that baseball cap on all the time. I work in a catering hall and that wasn’t going to work for me.
I always said I would shave my head before I put one of those old toupee’s on that you can tell are fake and the wind blows off or the Daniel Boone racoon look never!
Then one day my daughter came home and offered to put one on me I said ok what the hell practice on me why not I'll just take it off afterwards that was 3 years ago.
I feel so much better then I did before maybe its because when I look in the mirror I feel better about myself & healthier. I'm in the gym 3 times a week and feel great and stronger. When you look better you feel better.
Easier then when I had real hair. I just get up in the morning spray with water on comb into place and I'm good to go for the day.
Around every 3 to 4 weeks I lift and re-glue myself. Once every 6 to 8 weeks I take off completely wash hairpiece remove glue, clean scalp, shave hair where replacing hair. put glue on and reapply hairpiece. I change my hairpiece usually once every 5 months. I have a few. You will get about 3 to 5 months wearing out of one hairpiece.
These look completely natural nobody will ever know. They are breathable. Choice lace or real skin base with real hair. Also my head is warm in the winter now without a hat. LOL

This a follow up on my bone marrow biopsy & catscan.
I am cancer free.
This is my third chance at life for me. Some people consider me unlucky but I consider myself to be fortunate enough to survive two cancers & todays news was the best holiday gift anyone could ever have. The week before was horrible not knowing what the future would have in store for me if I would be here next year. It is a terrible feeling not knowing. But I consider myself blessed & appreciate everyday I’m here with my family & friends. Never take life for granted, appreciate every day like it is your last.
I appreciate all of your prayers.
To anyone who is battling cancer alone for the holidays my door is open for you. Also if you are battling cancer & need to talk please contact me anytime.

After 14 years of being in remission I have to go back to Sloan for a bone marrow biopsy & a full body catscan. What a horrible feeling & fear of not knowing what the future has in store for me.

As many of you know since being diagnosed in January I have been fighting for my life against cancer. Major surgery in March was unsuccessful in getting the tumors out. How disappointing. I was cracked open like a lobster, broken sternum 3 broken ribs and they removed a rib. Very painful and still have cancer. Ugh. I m a mom, my girls still need me desperately. I am strong I need to fight i will not give up. I had no other options so I underwent aggressive radiation and chemo all of May and June. Radiation left me with 2nd and 3rd degree burns all across my back and chemo made me deathly ill spending most of July in hospital not sure I was going survive...
I m still here against my bleak odds. I am blessed and grateful beyond words to say I m now in my third month of remission undergoing immunotherapy and I plan on staying in remission and living my life to a ripe old age.
My struggles have been real this year as most know I have also lost both my parents during this time. I m still here and truly proof that treatment works. My positive attitude and the outpouring of love and support has kept me alive.
My journey this year has changed me dramatically. I look at people , life and myself completely different today and I am absolutely grateful for every minute of every day. I waste no time on drama and nonsense as I truly know that tomorrow is not promised its a gift. I have moved out of my comfort zone. I tell people how I feel now! I dont put things off I do it now! I look at every day as making beautiful memories with my beautiful girls Claudia and Carley and my loved ones.
I post this to help anyone else who may be fighting the good fight and needs some encouragement. If you are and want to talk MSG me.
I m still here. I have so much love to still share and plan on doing so for many years to come. I thank all of my support people, and you all know who you are, for seeing my thru all this.i am more alive today than ever.
Došao je i zadnji dan moje hemoterapije.
Moja mama je rekla da moju sliku niko ne dijeli zato sto imam rak.😟😭
Mogu li dobiti vas lajk i da podijelite.. ako me se ne stidite.😊👍🤗
I post this every year on my birthday. Today I am 61 years old.
