In an effort to extend its social services for the greater good, the Lyceum Gampaha Interact Club conducted a Blood Donation camp on Tuesday, 26th March, at Athena Hall. Generous contributions from staff members, parents to past pupils made the program a resounding success.

Transforming Korase Rural Hospital Through Community Service: The Project Colour Washing Initiative

In a remarkable display of community spirit and commitment in making a positive impact, Grade 8 students joined hands with the school Interact Club to embark on the "Project Colour Washing" at Korase Rural Hospital. This collaborative community service project unfolded over four consecutive days, from January 13th to 15th and culminated on the 21st, leaving a lasting imprint on the hospital and fostering a sense of pride among the participants.

The enthusiastic team kicked off the project on January 13th with meticulous planning and organization. Divided into teams, each responsible for a specific area of the hospital, the Interacters and Grade 8 students worked tirelessly to ensure a comprehensive transformation. The project unfolded in phases, encompassing the main hospital building, waiting areas, and even outdoor spaces to create a cohesive and aesthetically pleasing atmosphere.

The vibrant colors not only breathed new life into the hospital but also contributed to creating a welcoming and cheerful atmosphere for patients and the hospital staff.

The Project Colour Washing initiative undertaken by the Interact Club and Grade 8 students at Korase Hospital stands as a testament to the power of collective action and community service.
