I haven’t repeated an artist since we started this musical yoga adventure, but seeing as I saw the Love show in Vegas last week, I’m feeling very Beatlesey! Let’s not let trends fool us, this album remains the one of the true greatest of all time. The words people used to describe it….life changing, world changing, changed music forever. It’s a product of what happens when one person makes the suggestion “what if we get away from ourselves?” Brilliant. Psychedelic. Awesome. Best final song of all time. Can you tell I’m excited?!

She’s a busy week! With me out of town, my classes are off but Doug’s are on. My next class will be on Wednesday 5/15. ✌️and ❤️ in the meantime.

It’s hard to believe we’ve been doing this record album yoga thing for coming on two years now! Along the way, I’ve heard y’all say “man, I’m so bummed I missed (insert artist).” I mean, some albums are so good, we just need them twice, right?!

And so, introducing “Greatest Hits.” Same as HiFi Hatha, a 75 minute yoga class set to a full album, but rotating the fan favourite albums for a Saturday night reunion tour. If there’s interest, I’ll start offering these once a month.

My first thought when I grabbed this album this morning was “Yes!! Roy Hamilton. He has the most soothing voice and I really need something soothing this week. Great choice.”

As I listened on to the second side of the album, I then remembered, “aw CRAP, I forgot about the ONE song on here that totally, totally…annoys me…..” So yeah. The theme I wanted was soothing comfort and the theme I got was being able to be with things that you find annoying. Totally perfect really.

I’m back! And heads up that I’m shifting this weekend’s class from Saturday to Sunday. Same time (10AM).

On a rare Sunday morning when I haven’t busied myself with something else, and I decide to sit with a warm mug and put on a record, this is often my choice. Something about the mellow feel, the simplicity of it. It feels honest.

Come hang out. Breathe, move, listen to Pink Moon. On Sunday! Not Saturday.

Ever since the Yoga Room opened way back when at SFO I have pined for a flight delay that would offer that perfect window for an airport yoga sesh. Well, thank you Vancouver snow for the perfect opportunity. I popped on the latest Andre 3000 album and enjoyed some serious body bliss…floated out feeling like a brand new woman.

This trip has had twists and turns with unexpected illness and flight delays which have me coming home later than I thought, and have me feeling the pull to prioritize home time/fam time this weekend. Class will be cancelled. I wish you all a longer than average morning in your pajamas and maybe a second or dare I say THIRD cup of whatever beverage you enjoy.

No class this Saturday as I go to visit the home of the people who dressed me like this, where these round Pioneer speakers still stand today. Although they would vehemently profess that I dressed myself and that this strong willed little child would have had it no other way.

Class will be back 1/20.
