Entering the Realm of Comic Alley

The birth of Anime in Japan dates back to the 1900s and has emerged as one of Japan’s top cultural elements. With the rise of technology, Anime has become a global phenomenon that has been translated into many languages and has heavily influenced millions of people. The pioneer for anime inspired merchandise in the Philippines, Comic Alley started in 1995 as a store selling mostly U.S. comic books, trading cards, and action figures. Initially catering male customers, the company had ventured into female driven anime such as Sailormoon and Cardcaptor Sakura. From then on, Comic Alley has been giving anime lovers the ultimate anime experience through fun and unique products.

The Japanese culture has infiltrated our culture over the years. There has been a rise of Japanese restaurants, clothing stores, and cafes. Many Filipinos dream of visiting Japan because of the rare and Instagram worthy sights, the fascinating nightlife in Tokyo, and of course to visit the ultimate destination for an otaku, Akihabara! “Otaku” is a Japanese term which refers to an individual whose hobbies/interests revolve around anime and manga. The term is also associated to an individual obsessed with Japan as well as its culture. The Otaku Filipino community in the Philippines share their love for activities such as reading mangas, watching animes, attending cosplay conventions, and collecting goodies. More than a label, more than a classification, Otaku is a mindset and a way of life.

We believe and support you in your journey as an otaku and we’ve got you covered with your anime needs!

Our mission is to be able to share our passion for anime to the Filipino people of all ages by providing high quality and affordable products in all shapes, form, and size. Ultimately we want to grow in the country and become the major brand that will best serve the needs of the anime fan
