Our last day featured Dr Emily Threinen, Dr Erik Leung, Susan Smith and the reading band, a fabulous banquet with Dr Tim and a fun filled evening at our ASBDA Education Foundation Auction. Until we see each other again.
Fantastic day at the ASBDA National Convention in Minneapolis, MN. General business meeting, Edina High School Band under the direction of Paul Kile, Education Foundation sponsored our Rubbing Elbows with Craig Kirchhoff, ASBDA National Honor Band under the direction of Dr Jack Stamp, and a River Boat Cruise rounded out the day.
The 2024 ASDBA National Honor, under the direction of Jack Stamp, had a fantastic second day of rehearsals and enjoyed an evening at the Mall of America in Minneapolis, MN.

#HaveYouHeard of this incredible opportunity? There is an outstanding professional big band in our area (Aurora, IL) called the Pete Ellman Big Band (recent Midwest Performance). Players in the group are music educators, retired band directors, and professional musicians. They perform every Tuesday night at The Venue in Aurora Illinois and they ask a local high school or middle school group to open up for them. It’s an awesome performance opportunity for the students.
