KLM Tutoring

After having a break for a few years due to working longer hours at my day job (Year 6) I have decided to open up my books again. I started this tutoring business up in 2017 and it quickly grew which was amazing. Due to a work promotion - I dwindled the business down BUT - after seeing a real need for extra support for pupils - especially post-covid. I have decided to start up again.
I am offering one-to-one and face to face sessions from my study at home in Rayleigh. I am CRB checked, BA Hons 2:1 in English Literature, First Aid trained, over 15 years experience in schools and seven years as a tutor. 30 pounds an hour.

Looking to start up after the half term:
Mondays - 4:30 - 5:30
Tuesdays - 4:30 - 6:30
Wednesdays - 4:30 - 7:00
Thursdays - 4:30 - 8:30

I specialise in upper KS1 and all KS2 - particularly SATS.

My son is also offering tutoring in GCSE Maths and Further Maths after gaining a grade 9
In both. Currently studying A Level Maths and Further Maths at Southend High School For Boys. Online and face-to-face. 25 pounds an hour.

Noah smashed all 11 of his GCSE’s. All 9’s in his Maths- based subjects. (Maths, Further Maths, Physics, Economics) SHSB’s Sixth Form here he comes. I am not back 😂 But my son is for GCSE Maths tuition. He has just completed his GCSE’s - including Maths and Further Maths. Results permitting - he hopes to take Maths and Further Maths at A Levels. I am back! 😂 For two days a week only now - due to my increase in hours at my day job. Due to some old clients messaging me - I have decided to restart my home tutoring business. I will just be doing Monday and Tuesday evenings from half four to seven. I am offering 30 minute slots for 15 pounds, 45 mins for 20 pounds or an hour slot for 25 pounds. My specialty is KS2. Good evening, due to my daughter self isolating and the increase in positive Covid tests - especially in the local schools - I have decided to stop my tutoring sessions a few weeks earlier than usual. Hope you all understand. Will see you all in September. xx

The fantastic teacher I work with ordered these for our year sixes. They are so good and brilliant for helping with writing. Would highly recommend for KS2 and KS3. Going to get my two one each.

After studying the Government Guidelines - I am hoping to restart my tutoring sessions on Monday the 19th of April. 🙌 👍🏻 👏🏻

As previously, my tutoring room/ area will be cleaned regularly and each child will have their own individual work packs. As I work in a school, I have twice a week lateral flow tests. If you or your child have any symptoms you can cancel - no charge. Thanks and can’t wait to see you all again.

For my year 6 students - please note, there may be no SATS this year but quite a few schools are still doing their own in-house SATS tests and they will all be tested once at Senior Schools (I am not talking about Grammar Schools here) Lots to catch up on but we can all do it. xx

Good afternoon on this rainy Saturday. It’s been a while since I posted on here. Hope everyone is keeping as well as can be. Lockdown 3.0 definitely seems harder.
Anyway I am hoping schools reopen for everyone after Easter. Once the schools open I will restart

Even in these crazy times - it’s a tutoring kind of Saturday. Negative numbers (Maths) and inference skills (Reading comprehension) on the list for today. Social distancing adhered to, separate work packs and can you notice my anti bac spray - my study has never been so clean. Enjoy your Saturday x

Well it certainly feels like goodbye summer today.....
Anyway - I am so so so pleased to say that school is back next week. It’s mad that some of the children have not been in school since March.
First time I have tutored in the holidays and I really enjoyed it. Will do again if the interest remains.

Just to let you all know that term time tutoring commences on Saturday the 5th of September. I look forward to seeing old faces and meeting new ones.

KLM Tutoring is back! My new set up. Office desk, chair etc wiped down after each session. Individual work packs for each student. Oh and not forgetting some biscuits.....

COVID UPDATE

Good afternoon - I am currently sorting out a proposed timetable for week days after school and Saturday mornings for September. I will contact you all individually with your slot. If anyone wants to start my summer school - commencing 27th of July please contact me. I already have some children down for this. It will be weekly one hour - 1:1 tutoring slots- to get them ready for September when they are ‘hopefully’ all back at school. Thanks Katy x
