"If the Kids Are United They Will Never Be Defeated" was created from a black and white photography book with a border of '70s punk show posters. The title comes from a song by Sham 69 recorded in 1979. And then because I'm a tried and true Deadhead, I added the Owsley stealie buckle and other GD imagery, one in each corner. I handcut each piece of paper for this decoupage wooden plate, it's 16" diameter, ready to hang, glazed with a triple thick acrylic coat 💙⚡❤️ It's got such a sweet 70s vibe 🦉

Elements include images of petrified wood, butterfly, sunflowers, sunsets, a flock of birds on the outer rim, a photo of the desert from space on the inner rim, a lone dancing bear, and of course a groovy Grateful Dead photo circa '73 Keith and Donna with Jerry's big black beard. Lettering credit a Mike DuBois calendar.

I tagged myself with my favorite collage I've ever made called "Under the Influence of the Milky Way" designed using the traditional tumbling blocks quilt pattern (which looks a lot like Qubert). Includes a national geographic poster of the Milky Way along with images from ancient Egypt and art by Georgia O'Keefe and Salvador Dali's "Skull of Zurbarán" that I hand cut with scissors and glued to a 40" x 40" wood panel. I took this photo up on top of Bearwallow Mountain near Gerton for a client who has a beautiful property up there called The Poplars with 4 houses and a pickleball pavilion (or it can be a wedding/reunion/party pavilion depending upon what you're up to 😉). It was a huge assignment to capture everything, and I had a great time doing it!
