Suri sat upon the asymmetrical throne as she stared down at the council members before her. The Men and women that spoke against her, saying a Turned shouldn't hold the title of Queen of the Spirit Realm. She smirked, her eyes glowing a tint of red in warning. "I'm Alpha now. Submit or perish."
...That council refused. And promptly met their end after challenging Suri for the throne.

"Damn, it's good to be home."

A vent of Suri, with a bit of back story. Suri is queen of the entire spirit realm. A separate universe that houses and protects the whole supernatural race, away from the destruction and harm of humans. Suri wasn't born a rightful heir to the throne, that's not how the spirit realm is run. It is mostly survival of the fittest, with Ancients, Originals, and Natural Borns running the upper hierarchy, being the most wealthy and powerful, especially when compared to the Turned. Suri was Turned, but by a rare apex predator of vampires, also known as Crusnicks. Suri fought her way up the social standing, breaking barriers and destroying the hierarchy as it was, to become Queen. Despite protests from the "Nobles" of the SR, she led the way to a golden age, mostly because she faced each threat to her people or to their ways of life by dealing with them personally, rather than sending Enforcers to deal with the problem. But even with her perks, she has a downside. She suffers from major depression, PTSD, and battles an addiction to self harm. The time she spends without harming herself are periods that she considers herself "Sober", because even when she isn't hurting herself, she experiences a so-called "siren's song" to go ahead and Hurt herself again. It's a never ending battle in her head that continues to this day, no matter how well things are going for her.

Annabelle revised. Her hair is now optional, but I kinda like her like this. This was an assignment to apply what I learned so far in my classes... Kinda nervous about posting this..... But I hope you all enjoy this piece.
