We are thrilled to share that our recent Diaper Drive was a tremendous success! Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, we were able to collect an impressive number of diapers and baby wipes for Shiloh House: Family Life Services Pregnancy Center.

Today, Davee from CareArc had the honor of presenting Carol from Shiloh House with these much-needed supplies. Your donations will go a long way in supporting families and little ones in our community who rely on Shiloh House for essential resources.

With temperatures soaring, it's crucial to stay safe and protect yourself from the dangers of extreme heat. Prolonged exposure to high temperatures can lead to serious health issues, including heat exhaustion, heat stroke, and dehydration.

Here are some essential tips to stay safe:

Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water, even if you don’t feel thirsty. Avoid alcohol and caffeine, as they can dehydrate you.
Stay Indoors: Limit outdoor activities during the hottest parts of the day. If you must be outside, take frequent breaks in the shade or a cool place.
Dress Appropriately: Wear lightweight, light-colored, and loose-fitting clothing. Don’t forget your hat and sunglasses!
Cool Down: Use fans, air conditioning, or take cool showers to lower your body temperature.
Check on Others: Ensure that elderly neighbors, young children, and pets are staying cool and hydrated.

Join us on July 31, from 4-7 pm, at the Flinthills Mall for the Bridging the Gap: Community Resource Fair. This event provides free resources to families, has employment connections, free car seat checks, and giveaways! Learn about kids activities in the community!

CareArc had our first annual 5K for our employee that was organized by our Wellness committee. Everyone did fantastic!

Join us, and Emporia Spanish Speakers on Saturday, July 13th from 1:00 - 5:00 pm at the Riverside Elementary School for a Spanish language community fair. Representatives from area organizations, such as CareArc, Newman Regional Health and CrossWinds Counseling & Wellness, will be on hand with information about our programs and services. There will also be preventative health screenings available for attendees. The fair is free to attend. Food will be available on-site for a purchase and activities will be provided for children.

Congratulations to Rachel Lahera, the lucky winner of our baby bath giveaway! Her mother, Tapia Soarez Hernandez, graciously accepted the prize from our Universal Home Visitor, Davee Dailey. Davee, a dedicated member of our Community Health team, plays a vital role in keeping our community healthy by providing essential resources to new mothers and their babies. Clients of Davee are automatically entered into a monthly drawing for a special prize.

📢 Important Update for Parents: Private Meningitis Vaccine Out of Stock

Dear CareArc Families,

We wanted to inform you that we are currently out of our stock of the Private Meningitis vaccine. This stock is specifically for those with private insurance, not for state insurance or those without insurance.

We placed our order at the beginning of the month, but unfortunately, there is a shipment issue with Sanofi. According to their site, all orders are on hold until June 18th.

We understand the importance of keeping your children protected and healthy, and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. We are monitoring the situation closely and will notify you as soon as the vaccine is available again.

Did you know there are a variety of things that can impact our mental health? At times, everything can feel overwhelming, but you can work on improving your coping skills, setting boundaries and finding support from loved ones, community members and mental health providers.

In honor of Memorial Day, CareArc will be closed on Monday, May 27th. We will resume normal business hours on Tuesday, May 28th.

On this day, we remember and honor the brave men and women who have sacrificed their lives for our country. Let us take a moment to reflect on their courage and dedication.
