Act, Sing, Dance Akl is an Auckland based Performing Arts school started by Alexandra McKellar who is a professional performer based in Auckland New Zealand. Alexandra has been performing her whole life. She completed a Bachelor of Performing Arts in Acting via Music Theatre from NASDA (National Academy of Singing and Dramatic Art) in 2010 when she then moved to Auckland to further pursue her care
er. Alex teaches Singing, Acting and Dance at TAPAC, and privately, as well as being a freelance Producer, Director, Choreographer and Performer. Alexandra recently won the Best Female Performer Award for her solo piece in the Short and Sweet Song Festival and was awarded the John Antony Memorial Scholarship at the Northan Area Performing Art's Awards. Alexandra has been mainly focused on Music theatre roles with leading roles in show’s such as Curtains, Oklahoma, Urinetown (NZ Premiere), Witches of Eastwick (NZ Premiere), I wish I learned (World Premiere), and The World Goes Round to her name. She was most recently seen on NZ screens on Shortland Street in the role of Rose Slade. Alexandra has been teaching for many years now. Her Music Theatre classes at TAPAC (The Auckland Performing Art's Centre) have become incredibly popular and she caters for a huge range of ages and abilities. She also teaches Acting and Singing privately and is available for audition and performance coaching. Alexandra is a skilled performer who can provide Corporate Entertainment, Cabaret, Coaching, Performance Work, Directing, Choreographing and Producing.
