Now open in : Café COPA 📍

This new addition to the EDGE District is the sister concept to the original COPA, which has been serving Afro-Latin Caribbean fusion entrees, tapas and craft cocktails since it opened in 2019. You can now enjoy Café COPA at 1043 Central Ave. during the daytime, where they serve breakfast sandwiches, pastries, lunch handhelds, coffee, mocktails, teas and grab-and-go items like empanadas!

We tried the Jamrock Chicken handheld, an open-faced sandwich with Jamaican jerk chicken, swiss cheese and pickled coleslaw, and the Hibiscus Sour mocktail (which you can also turn into a cocktail after 11 a.m.) Everything was absolutely delicious and we can't wait to go back!

Café COPA is open Tues-Sun from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Anthro lovers, rejoice! 🎉

The newest addition to St. Pete's shopping scene is Katie + Hubbell, a store filled to the brim with all of your favorite Anthropologie brands.

Located at 5320 4th St. N., the 2,500 sq. ft. retail space stocks mostly new-with-tags and gently preloved clothing, swimwear, shoes, jewelry, accessories and home decor from Anthro and the many brands it carries, including Good American, Paige denim, Reformation, Farm Rio and MANY more.

“People from St. Pete often don't want to go all the way to Tampa to go to the Anthropologie, so they're happy to have this available to them,” said owner Shawna Ellis.

Ellis’ goal for Katie + Hubbell is to offer discounts on primarily NWT items. One example: a shirt originally priced at $140 at Anthropologie is sold at Katie + Hubbell for $59, nearly 62% off the original retail price. Shoppers can easily see how much the items are marked down, as most of the stock still has its original price tags attached.

Katie + Hubbell is committed to inclusive sizing, with jeans or pants ranging from 00-26W, and dresses and tops from XS to 2XL and up. Starting in 2025, customers will also be able to bring their gently worn Anthropologie clothing to Katie + Hubbell to sell for cash or store credit.

👀 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸: 𝗕𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗗𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲’𝘀 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗼 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗼𝗰𝗸 & 𝗣𝗹𝘂𝗺𝗮

The grand opening of St. Petersburg’s latest upscale restaurant is still nine days away; however, the husband-and-wife duo behind Juno & the Peacock couldn’t wait to unveil the much-anticipated concept.

Juno & the Peacock replaces 400 Beach Seafood & Tap House on the corner of 5th Avenue NE along the downtown waterfront. The space is the latest in an increasingly sophisticated area to receive extensive renovations. Juno & the Peacock – named after Aesop’s fable and for the splendidly feathered bird – features an expansive outdoor patio with views of North Straub Park.

Juno & the Peacock serves New American coastal cuisine. Entrée highlights included the Dean & Peeler Ribeye, Bone-In Filet and a to-die-for crab-crusted grouper. Juno & the Peacock is Florida’s only restaurant to offer Dean & Peeler steaks. 🥩 The family-owned, Texas-based cattle ranchers provide “USDA Certified Responsibly Raised” beef.

Juno & the Peacock features an extensive wine list, primarily sourced from New World regions. The cocktail menu chronicles drinks – with a modern twist – according to the decade of introduction. We were especially fond of the Harvey Wallbanger, a layered cocktail with vodka, Galliano, orange and egg white. 🍊

After dinner, we recommend heading next door to the sister concept, Pluma. The cocktail lounge serves bar bites like short rib mole tacos and a Huitlachoche empanada. The craft cocktails are sorted by region, with creations inspired by Mexico, Brazil and Peru. Our favorites were the "Don't Sweat the Technique" and "Rhythm is a Dancer." With prices averaging from $14-19, Pluma has the kind of cocktail program you'll want to come back for again and again. 🥃 🍸

A new bar and restaurant is coming to Gulfport!

Stormrunners Tavern is slated to open at 3128 Beach Blvd. S. by the end of August. Dave Burton of Burton Holdings, the group behind GenX Tavern and SoHo Sushi in Tampa, is the majority owner of Stormrunners.

The large bar and restaurant includes 4,400 sq. ft. of indoor space and more than 4,000 sq. ft. outside. Stormrummers is split into three distinct sections: a second-floor patio called The Crow’s Nest, a first-floor bar and dining room with garage doors that open to the sidewalk and a side yard and dog-friendly tiki bar called “BARk.”

Stormrunners Tavern will focus on “imaginative” cocktails, seafood classics like fish tacos, Grouper and crab cakes, and according to Burton, “A little something for everyone.”

We got a sneak peek at Stormrunners last week and we can't wait go back for a bite and a drink soon! Loving all the colorful floors, murals and distinct spaces that give a different vibe at every corner.

This is what we mean when we say Keep St. Pete weird!

“Have you ever wondered about alternate worlds? Other versions of you, in universes far away, living alternate lives?

Masqueraded behind a wall of foliage, a new “intergalactic mini theme park” has grown from a North Kenwood corner lot.

This special place is called Multiverseland.”

One of the things we love most about living in our beautiful city is having access to some of the best beaches in the world… but honestly, by the time you pack the cooler, load everything in the trunk, find parking, lug everything through the sand and set up your spot, a beach day can feel like a second job!

The solution: .cabanaclub! This luxury beach rental service is the key to an easy, stress-free beach day 🏝️ They bring the chairs, blankets, towels, umbrella, cooler, ice, speaker, water, cups, face wipes, sunscreen, lockbox, garbage bin — seriously, EVERYTHING you need! Vintage lovers, this is for you!

Ingrid’s Vintage & Thrift Shop recently opened at 10387 Gandy Blvd N., aiming to provide affordable vintage clothing, shoes, accessories and decor in a market where anything deemed “vintage” has become increasingly popular and more expensive.

Tops are priced between $8 and $30, jeans from $8 to $25, and dresses from $12 to $30, with some exceptions for brand-name or rare vintage pieces. This pricing strategy aligns with the store’s mission to offer authentic, affordable vintage treasures for shoppers of all ages, sizes and styles.

In addition to the shop, owner Ingrid Bridges also has Treasure Hunters thrift shop and IM Vintage, an MCM furniture lover’s dream come true, all in the same plaza!

Tonight is OPENING NIGHT! After tonight, you can check it out Thursdays through Saturdays from 7 p.m. to closing.

Before you head to Beach Drive for the parade this weekend, make sure to check out Crisp Waffle Company! 🧇 This Sarasota favorite just opened a new spot on Central Ave, and we're obsessed with everything!

Crisp Waffle Company specializes in sweet or savory Liege waffles -- their dry ingredients and speculoos even come directly from Belgium! They also serve acai bowls and smoothies with fresh fruit, Yoder's ice cream, specialty coffee and even mimosas, wine, hard seltzers and beer!

We have much more to showcase from this awesome new spot on Central (reel coming soon), but a heads up that this is the perfect spot to grab a waffle and mimosa before heading down the parade and enjoying the festivities this weekend 🥂 🌈

Pictured here is the Chicken & Waffle, Berry Comfort acai bowl, and Let's Go Bananas waffle, topped with speculoos caramel, Belgian chocolate, freshly cut bananas and whipped cream.
