Over the years we have spent performing throughout Massachusetts and New England, we have learned that there are so many incredible musicians and bands out there. We wish to extend a special thank you to those who shared the stage with us at Raven Worcester last Friday; a shout-out, if you will. Hail to Ravager, FOTD, Another Soldier Down, and Plea of Insanity for making this night heavy.
And of course, thanks goes to disciples and followers both old and new for attending the sacrifice! You make performance art worthwhile.

I'm sure many of you have heard the distressing news regarding Bandcamp lately. If you want to support your friends and the bands that you love, then get out there. Go to shows. Spread the word. Buy merch directly from bands, especially local bands. Hopefully a new platform for artists that is fair to all will arise to fill the vacuum; Hells, maybe one of *you* will make one. In case you're blind enough to think that women have it easier in music, or have some sort of advantage because "s*x sells," let me remind you: they do not. Especially in rock and heavy metal. In fact, they are more likely to be taken advantage of by an uncaring, patriarchal industry, be that as a musician or simply as a non-cis male.
Here are some things out bassist, LeviAthan, has heard from concert goers in the past:
"You know how to use that?" (in reference to her bass, of all things)
"I wasn't expecting much, but you're really good!" (backhanded compliments are still compliments, right? Right??)
"You're pretty good for a girl" (if you're an adult and you still think like this, you have clearly never matured beyond your teenage years because society does not expect you to do so)
"I assumed you were just helping your boyfriend move his gear. I didn't think you were actually in the band!"
From dudes working the door:
"You're not in a band." (really, dude?)
"You're in a band... what's the name of your band?" (when no one else playing that night was asked this)
"Girlfriends don't get in free."
"Oh, I figured you were just helping your boyfriend move his stuff in..." (Cpt. ACAB is her partner and our drummer; how could he play bass at the same time? Come ON, people)
From a bandmate in a prior band:
"You should go out with that guy. Get some fans for the band." (we get it, you're s*xist)
