The Teacher's Education Alliance is a student club that aims to connect students with other Orediggers interested in teaching and education. Our mission is to give you insight into the realities of teaching (and its many misconceptions!), and be a home for students who like the idea of inspiring others.
Mines welcomes individuals with disabilities. If you require an accommodation in order to participate in this event, please contact Elizabeth Ruzicka at [email protected]. Advance notice may be necessary to arrange for some accessibility needs.
If you're intrigued, submit a STEM Camp Proposal including:
1. A brief introduction including your names and snapshots of each instructor’s teaching experience.
2. A captivating description of your chosen camp theme or topic, drawing inspiration from last year's examples at link below.
3. An estimated budget outlining materials/supply costs, considering a maximum enrollment of 20 students.
4. Specify your preferred week in June/July (excluding the week of July 4th) and decide whether your camp will be a four-day (Mon-Thurs) or five-day (Mon-Fri) venture.
5. Clearly define the target grade level group for your camp, choosing from K-2, 3-5, 4-6, 5-7, 6-8, and 7-8, with a preference for younger kids/elementary grade camps.
Don't miss this opportunity! Develop your own camp with another T@M students or T@M mentor teacher to inspire young minds in STEM. Proposals accepted until Feb 2nd. For questions or submissions, contact Rhonda Dvornak at [email protected].
