Just a nature lover with a camera There is no place I feel more at home than with mother nature. I hope you enjoy nature from my point of view.
Growing up in the Laurentian mountains and camping in the Pontiac, there was always wildlife close at hand. My Dad got me a DSLR film camera complete with zoom when I was 12, I was encouraged to capture my many outdoor adventures. I am by far no professional, I like to just call myself a nature loving hiker with a camera.
Embrace your inner fox and let the world see your wild side. 🦊🐺
Cutest pups ever!
I was thrilled when Mom let them come out to play while I was sitting with her! 💞
Don't worry. I have a Zoom lens and keep my distance and didn't stay long 😉
Tulips are blooming and I am reminded of festivals past.
The barred owl is a large typical owl native to North America. Best known as the hoot owl for its distinctive call, it goes by many other names, including eight ho**er, rain owl, wood owl, and striped owl.

Warblers have such a pretty song

Nature is beautiful
I can't wait to see what pops up in my garden this year.
Between not remembering what I planted and the squirrels stealing, but also gifting bulbs, my Spring blooms are always a surprise.

I love this photo.
It seemed so simple when I took it.
A single feather floating beside our canoe.
But what I captured shows so much more and that is why I love it so much, I can remember that trip so vividly when I look at this photo.
It was taken during a golden hour canoe ride. As we got out to the rockface the light reflected the colors of the cliffside back into the water. With the ripples from the motion of the canoe the result is this soft feeling of movement.

Looking forward to sitting around and watching the bees, bring on the warm weather!
Another flash back photo 📸
Adorable young deer on a warm late winter morning 🌄
Who else is ready for Summer?!
Seems like Canadian winters are getting longer.
Can't wait to see regular like this Great Blue Heron in Napanee.

I hope you enjoy this oldie of the sun setting over the Ottawa River one late summer evening.
We used to love to take advantage of living so close to the bike paths that runs along the river. They were perfect for a relaxing walk with my man and furbaby dogs at the end of the day.
Snowy in flight.
Taken many years ago.
This beautiful bird was very active, flying around in a flock of buntings giving me this photo opportunity.
Wishing you all a warm and cozy weekend.
to many winters ago.
This guy was sunning in a tree one freezing winter morning.
I was able to capture a few images that still thrill me to this day.
Totally worth the frozen fingers!
Winter Fog
On foggy winter mornings the mist sticks to the trees. It can be beautiful even though it's dark and dreary out.
He's behind me, isn't he?
Another flash back from winter past.
A couple of beautiful whitetail deer just outside Ottawa 🦌
🍁
I very often come across these beautiful creatures...fortunately I have been able to photograph a few over the years.
Redtail Hawks only gain thier red tail feathers when they reach adulthood.
This guy had no cares about my presence and caught his breakfast while we were hanging out.

With more snow headed my way, thoughts of Spring are creeping in.
A family of ducks having a rest at the waterfalls in Napanee, Ontario.

I have been really lucky in spotting Barred Owls this winter :) This guy was out in the open, middle of the day.
Unethical Owl Photography Most owls are nocturnal and for this reason, photographers will disturbingly resort to the unethical practices like owl baiting
Dreaming of Spring 🌷
So pleased to have this golden hour encounter. ❤ 😍
I am not sure why, but I seem to always come across these specific owls.
There are others around ....but these dark eyed owls are active during the day light more than most.
Have you ever seen an owl?
Happy golden hour sighting :)
It's been awhile! Happy sighting :)
