Niente Accade Per Caso

...a phrase I got tattooed when I was 18. A phrase that means ‘nothing happens by chance’. In 2014 I met my (now) husband. Just about a year and a half into our relationship, he joined the Air Force. 2016 was a struggle, but instead of being sad I filled my time with practicing the art of handlettering. I started creating greeting cards to send to him during boot camp, and that’s truly when Jordyn Alison Designs started.

I started this business solely focusing on long distance relationships. As the year went on, I realized that I wanted to branch out a little, but still keep a focus on military relationships. I started creating love and birthday cards. In 2016 my greeting cards were featured in their very first store, Half Mile Handmade. It was such a dream come true!

2017 was a year of growth. I pushed myself harder and was proud of my accomplishments. I researched like crazy and convinced myself to start wholesaling. And it paid off... Jordyn Alison Designs is now in over 10 stores across Michigan!

My business story is very much tied to my personal life. A lot of this wouldn’t happen if I wasn’t dating someone who was in the military. Because he’s gone pretty much 98% of the year, all I want to do is work harder.
