So funny but in all honesty..sellers are now understanding & accepting a traditional market while still averaging value appreciation of 16% when comparing August 2021 to August 2022.
Buyers however are yet to fully understand that it’s unlikely we will see a real estate value collapse.

The Federal Reserve will be ending their two day meeting today and will most likely be increasing the Fed Fund Rate for the 2nd month in a row. The Fed Fund Rate is the overnight borrowing rate for banks, it is NOT the same as mortgage rates. Mortgage rates are driven primarily by inflation and the bond market. When the Federal Reserve hikes the Fed Fund Rate they are trying to slow the economy & curb inflation. If they are successful mortgage rates could react favorably.

The cost of rent will increase..

Mortgage rates may continue to increase before we see them decrease, but remember this…owning a home & having a fixed rate mortgage IS protection against the fluctuations of your housing costs during these uncertain times!
