I know I’m not the only bereaved parent, in fact it’s such a big club that nobody wants to be in.
As the anniversary of losing James Pattaya Doris is upon us what I thought would be the longest year of my life has actually been a whirlwind.
We will never forget you son and you live on through Olivia and Tilly.
I’ll never see you again but I feel you by me.
I’ll never hear you laugh or swear again but I remember how much of both you did.
Your friends and family talk about you everyday and every memory we hold is different but all end the same way ‘but that was James’
I’ve dreaded this day for a full year knowing I will relive the phone call, the flight, the funeral and carrying out your every last wish.
Our hearts are broken beyond repair but knowing how happy you’d been in your ‘happy place’ helps us all to deal with the loss.
You were my first born and only son, irreplaceable and unique, I know you think I was a di****ad and at times I was and probably still am but knowing you’re watching over us all makes me feel safe for everyone’s future.
I hope you’ve reunited with those who went before you and please keep sending little signs you’re still visiting us 💔💔
A few days away in London to go to the premier of Olivia’s first film ‘MAMU’
It’s a festival film and was one of only 7 chosen out of thousands to be screened at the sundance film festival 2024.
Huge thanks to Scream Theatre Schools for helping her to secure the role.
Rossall School for allowing her the time off to film it and attend the premiere.
Special thanks also to Aephie, Emily and all the cast and crew.
I know better than many how precious time is and promised never to miss another opportunity to make memories for as long as I’ve got so special thanks also to MBNA credit card for the trains, Hotels, Lion King and Matilda shows 😂
When bird s**t looks like a Banksy!
Paul Pogo needs me as his solicitor! I could get him off by proving he served his ban of 'not playing football' whilst at united TWICE!
Absolutely overwhelmed with all the birthday messages thank you very much.
Your love has really helped me today Thank You ❤️❤️
When you see something on twitter and think it’s something or somebody it isn’t! 💔💔💔💔
My FB has been cloned if they send you a friends request please report it or add them if you like they are probably more fun than me anyway! X
Blackpool and Charlton fans please join in today.
At times like this rivalries don’t count it’s a football family. 💔 Bob had tangerine blood and was a gentleman who deserves to be remembered in a way that would be most befitting for a football fan. Thank you
Richard Spedding you are the most wonderful exponent of your craft and I am sure today you will do Gaynor and all the Sedgwick family proud in remembering the beautiful kind soul that this amazing lady was. Sadly I can’t attend so please give her a quiet moment of reflection and love from me. She was a 1 off, a go getter, a proper grafter, and so much more in business. In private she was a loyal friend, doting mother and a huge part of one of Blackpools most respected families. I will miss her as will we all x x
My thoughts all week and more so today are with the Walsh and the Sedgwick families, both tragically laying to rest 2 beautiful girls at different stages of their unfulfilled lives. Members of wonderful families who are now left with a space that will never be filled. They are sisters, mums, aunts, nieces, cousins, friends but above all else daughters. They will be remembered forever but missed more than anything or any pain anybody could imagine. May they both rest in eternal peace until they are reunited with those here who will never forget💔💔💔💔💔 losing a child has an untold effect on the rest of your life that time doesn’t heal, I truly wish it did.
Since hitting 60 last year I can’t believe how many people are passing away for a variety of reasons, it seems every few days there is another friend lost! Many of them far too young to go!
Since losing my own son last year I’ve maintained that we should live life to the full and include all our loved ones and make as many memories as possible and take a million pictures.
It’s heartbreaking to see so much grief, obviously as we get older we will encounter more loss but my God I’ve never known so much.
Please, Please if you’ve fallen out with somebody over not very much, make up while you can.
if you’ve not called a loved one in a while, do it while you both can.
Even if you’re really close, get closer, more lunches, dates, trips make the time to make the memories! ❤️
Don’t live or die with regrets, it will add to the pain you’ll feel if you don’t act soon! 💔
Any of my friends live or want to relocate to Minehead? great job opportunities to be part of a great team working on Butlins resort for a concessionaire?
Great rates of pay, sociable hours, managers and team required please DM me.

There was never going to be a good day to announce this but I’ve chosen Today.
After a fabulous 45 year career entertaining millions of people it’s become clear to me after losing my son I can’t carry on. I know if I’m lucky I’ll have another 10/15 maybe 20 years on this planet and Olivia deserves my time more than anything.
I could write a million words to thank you all for everything but you’d soon get bored so I’ll just say
‘Thank you everyone for everything’
I will try to do a couple of BLOFESTS to say thank you and goodbye, I will still do charity work and a couple of jobs I’ve done for years if they’ll still have me and I know I will probably regret this decision in the summer and illuminations when the grief hopefully has eased and the desire to perform returns so I’m not saying never but Olivia deserves me at the weekends.
I will miss you all and those of you whose life I’ve been a part of don’t forget me or the memories we made.
💔💔💔
Toughest Christmas of my life but this gift makes it worthwhile.
Merry Christmas to you all xx x x
I’ve had a tough couple of years by any standard but I’m also well aware I’m not the only one. Cancer was never going to beat me and neither was having no money and work! I fought back and worked hard and helped as many others as I could at the same time, not for praise or glory just because if I can I will and it’s paying me back in kind now, but this year losing my son has hit me like nothing could ever prepare you for and I know others who have also lost a child feel the same.
Believe me and believe them there is no pain like it! You can’t compare it to losing a parent, grandparent or pet, it’s a pain I and any other bereaved parent wouldn’t wish on anybody. Grief is so personal and how we deal with it varies amongst us all.
In the past I’ve grieved over parents, grandparents and friends but got through it with a determination and strength from the loss.
Losing James has been so different, everybody has been kind with words and genuine in their concern but I’ve changed despite all of the support I’ve received and I don’t know where that will take me.
I will reflect a lot this Christmas on what we had and what we’ve lost and implore you if you can build a bridge with a loved one to do it now before it’s too late, only yesterday I lost one of my oldest friends suddenly and I’ve seen how devastated his family and friends are right now, so please make this Christmas the one where you forgive, forget and cherish x x x
Merry Christmas ❤️
There’s not a moment you’re not in our thoughts, not one day we don’t shed a tear, it’s 39 years of loving you today and the fact we can’t make new memories just make the ones we have more special. I know you were never a massive believer of faith but your adopted Buddhist faith gave you strength and comfort in later years, so wether you can see us or hear us doesn’t really matter because you know how we will be feeling wherever you rest xx 💔💔💔 James Pattaya Doris
He’s eating her Parma violets!!!!❤️❤️❤️
The irony of the day Sticky Vicky passes as my haemorrhoid consultant will soon be stuffing strange things up my Ar*e!
26 years of memories with Joey Blower
As you now know Joey will be finishing with the bar after 26 years, this is obviously a very sad time for Joey and he invites anybody to add pictures or stories to this page so Olivia can see when she is older just how much fun we all had during that time x
