The market town of Cirencester is very close to our cottages and is a great place to grab a bite to eat, go shopping or just explore - it is steeped in history having been the second biggest town after London in Roman times.
Known as the capital of the Cotswolds, Cirencester is home to a Roman amphitheatre as well as the highest yew hedge in the world! In medieval times it was a prosperous wool town and is synonymous with narrow streets and honey-coloured stone buildings.

Another restaurant which we highly recommend is the Wild Rabbit in Kingham.
We love its open kitchen and the fact it supports British farmers and artisan producers. Its menu uses seasonal British produce which comes from Daylesford Organic’s market garden which is located just a mile down the road.
The Wild Rabbit also has an extensive wine list which features bottles from specialist artisan and independent vineyards. If you are looking for fine dining with a vibrant atmosphere then this modern British inn is the place for you.
