ComfyTots is a small business that I run from my home. I live with my husband and our three beautiful daughters. I first started my baby wearing journey with my eldest daughter in a Baby Bjorn style carrier. I could only manage to wear her for a few weeks before discontinuing with it, as she didn’t like it and I found I was not very comfortable when I wore it. With the birth of our second daughter
, I tried again with a similar style carrier and while she loved it, my back injury prevented me from carrying her beyond 6 months of age. We both missed our little cuddles, as I went about my day, running a family and caring for an infant and a school aged child. When my third daughter was born, I struggled with postnatal depression and was torn between wanting to be with my other children, not wanting to be around her and knowing she was craving my attention. It was at this time that I began to research Babywearing. I discovered wraps and with nothing to lose, I purchased one and have never looked back. I was able to wrap my third child to me and spend time with my other girls, go to Kindergym and continue with school drop offs. Babyweaing has allowed me, to hold my baby close, while I still felt independent of her. Babywearing assisted me while I cooked dinner or ran errands. Without Babywearing I am not sure how I would have got myself and my family through that rough time. I decided to start this business as I truly believe in it. I wanted to help others families appreciate the many benefits Babywearing can give.
