I haven’t laughed so much during a session in a while. These two are so infectious with their love for one another! News flash: the parkway is closed for a good chunk, and The Lump was EXTREMELY crazy to get to because of it. I left the house with my gas light on thinking I’d be fine, but after a 30 extra minute detour on backwoods gravel roads, Lucas had to come rescue me from the Lump with a gas can in tow. Honestly, this session was so wildly fun that I forgot I was stranded LOL!!!!

This is one of the most bittersweet posts I’ve ever made!! As of today, I am no longer booking weddings. Lucas recently got an amazing job promotion that has blessed me with the opportunity to work only because I want to, not because I *have* to. With our son growing more and more curiously wild each day, weddings have become a huge hurdle with our current season of life. Finding childcare for 10+ hours, editing into the wee hours of the morning to keep up, the physical wear and tear on the body, etc. The hard work has been absolutely worth it—we’ve been able to meet the MOST incredible people and experience the MOST precious moments! If I’ve captured your wedding, know from the bottom of my heart that it was all worth it. 💕 I’ve got two more weddings next June that I’m THRILLED to capture. Choosing to take a step back has been a tear-filled decision, but I know that it’s going to allow me the opportunity to invest more time and energy into the growth of our family one day! I’m so thankful for the amazing clients who got me to where I am. This business seriously would not be here without you all 💕 All of this being said, I am going to be transitioning my business to being focused on capturing families and high school / college seniors!! I will still be open for engagement sessions, but they won’t be included in a wedding package 💕

I am currently in the land of post-COVID-baby-is-teething-and-husband-is-about-to-get-back-from-a-two-week-business-trip-and-why-did-I-sign-up-for-gym-childcare-every-day-this-week-when-I have-5-photo-sessions-that-require-me-to-carry-20-lbs-of-gear-for-hours???? 😅😅😅However, my family sessions on Monday helped anchor my week! I had the best time with the Wagner’s!!!! Their love for each other was so evident. I’m so glad the rain held out for us.
