Sabi Sabi Earth Lodge, Greater Kruger, South Africa - I mean.. Nothing TOPS going on Safari. But the Sabi Sabi Earth lodge has to be one of the most impressive architectural resorts I have ever stayed at. You can’t tell where the resort ends and where the bush starts, I have never felt more at peace.

The Ritz-Carlton, Berlin, Germany - As soon as you walk in, you are greeted by a staircase like no other. The entire hotel design, is Art Deco décor and references the film era. You can not beat the location, when you walk outside the hotel you walk right into history.. but the one thing I still talk about to this day is their breakfast. The spread of food was insane, as was the taste!

Babymoon tips!

I've been planning lots of babymoons in the last few months and wanted to share a few things.

🌙 Time it right. Don’t travel during morning sickness or in your third trimester when you could be restricted if you plan to fly somewhere.

🌙 Stick to pregnancy friendly activities. Try beachside strolls, swimming in the pool, raft lounging, prenatal yoga, music by sunset. Or, if traveling to a more metropolitan area, make sure to leave room for some R&R between going to a show, visiting a museum, shopping or touring the city.

🌙 Keep Your OB in the Loop

🌙 Wanting a massage? You'll want to book a prenatal massage, and it doesn't hurt to ask your doctor for a note giving you the OK!

🌙 Keep it low stress, you want this vacation to be relaxing, and it's a great time to connect with your partner.

I think history is so romantic, and I absolutely love when hotels keep their historic past in mind while designing their grounds.

During the 1870’s, high in the crevices of the Drakensberg escarpment which rises to the west of Sabi Sabi, gold was discovered. To transport the gold, the parliament of the Old Transvaal Republic commissioned a railway line from the interior to Delagoa Bay in Mozambique. A branch railway known as the Selati Line crossed the Sabi Sand Reserve.
