Good morning!

Do you have passionate young musicians who could benefit from additional music experiences?

UMass Lowell offers Band Scholarships for Middle School and High School students to participate in the New England Youth Wind Ensembles.

Our 14-week program, held on Mondays, starts January 15. (Enrollment open through Jan 31)
Our concluding concert on Friday April 26 is free, and open to all, no tickets required.

Heading into our 23rd year with our Junior Ensemble, and our 25th with our senior ensemble, we look forward to giving back to local schools, through scholarship assistance, while celebrating the longevity of our programs.

Participants gain so much in musical development, from time spent with collegiate coaches, who perform alongside them in these ensembles. Under the baton of university faculty, we seek to provide supplemental learning for your students, who develop and grow and bring their expanded skill set right back to you.

Most middle school athletes play on multiple teams, at school and outside of school, honing their skills. We hope you will encourage your music students to think about doing the same in music.

FYI-minor chord is going to have a yard sale this weekend. They’re selling some instruments: alto sax for $100, flutes for $50, clarinets for $50, and trombone for $100, plus some books for free.

I don’t have much more info - but wanted to pass it along.
