Donโt miss our Celebration of Student Work tomorrow from 11:00 to 11:30! There will be light refreshments.
I took only this photo today, but it was perfect, a shot of our proud writers sharing their work from the last two weeks with each other!
Day Eight most of us finished doing our handprints on our teeshirts, more writing was done, and instead of presenters, we held our own Olympic Games including a discus, basketball shooting, long jump and batting events.
Day Seven and I am somewhat embarrassed to admit these presenter photos are all I took. (In my defense, I was working on clerical tasks all morning.) I know the Tech Team took more and I will add them, along with more narrative, to this post tomorrow, I promise!
Day Six had a whole lot of researching going on in the Upper classroom. Students chose a past Olympics and researched the city and country where it was held. Our Littles shared amazing writing at Authorsโ Chair and then our guest today was our own EHS golf team member Genevieve Casazza who among other things, told us that golf is self-competitive: you play against yourself just trying to get better.
We started Day Five at Van Allen like most of the world, without internet, but our teachers and campers were not fazed.
If you enjoyed our Garden Friend and Foes theme this summer, youโll love the new Escalon library Student Garden Club. It has its first meeting tomorrow, Wednesday, October 25, from 3:30 to 5:00.
