FIRST and foremost, let me introduce myself. My name is Frankie Figs and
I'm a graphic designer. FOR as long as I can remember, I have loved anything that was motivational in nature. I'd listen to artists like Drake, Lupe Fiasco and Kid Cudi whose songs inspire me. Read stories about desire and ambition from interestin
g people. Heck I'd even scribble a short positive statement on a card and carry it in my pocket. I'VE always had a vision of creating a brand that focuses on empowering the individual through its positive words. OBSERVING the current market, I noticed there weren’t really any labels that made clothes and accessories using statements that were inspirational, had a fundamental meaning behind it yet looked cool, hip and proud to wear. SO I went to work and from that moment on, MOTIVE was born. MOTIVE is all about the inspirational. Anything to do with motivation really. From superheroes to quotes, videos to aspirational celebrities. It's broad but ultimately comes down to the individual's own determination in life. EACH item in the collection — from shirts to wallets — will feature a set of power words accompanied with a deeper message that'll act as a driving force. A burning fuse that'll ignite the person to take action out of their own will! BEST of all, the designs have been thought out to the nth degree (and they look awesome). THE brands' influence comes from two main sources: pop and urban culture. POSITIVITY, passion and persistence are three of MOTIVE's most important values. THE message behind every item is the most important thing in MOTIVE’s overall ethic.
“I won’t stop and I won’t quit” is the personal mantra of the label because it was these words that contributed to the stage I’m at now and where I will be. They should be your words too. REMEMBER, the definition of the word 'motive' is "something that causes a person to take action, usually an inner urge or desire to reach a contemplated goal".
