Chinese club aims to improve Lake Forest College students’ understanding of the Chinese langauge
The 中秋节 / Mid Autumn Festival at Lake Forest College this Thursday was an absolute blast!
We would like to thank everyone who came to celebrate and to have some fun with us
我们都在湖林大学一起过中秋节!很开心。教别的学生围棋。On October 12th we have celebrated The Mid Autumn Festival. Thank you everyone who joined us. Hope y'all enjoyed the moon-cakes, traditional Chinese food, and the game of Go.

Just a reminder that our new year festival dinner is tonight in the Mohr student center from 5-730!
你们好! I hope everyone had a good New Year's Festival yesterday! If not, you have chance to do it again tomorrow! Chinese Club will be holding a New Year Dinner in the Mohr Student Center's ground floor from 5:30-&:30 PM tomorrow. We'll have food, Go, and other activities! Hope to see you there!
Hey There! The first event our club will host this year will be the Chinese New Year Dinner, which will take place in the Mohr Student Center from 5:30-7:30 PM On February 11th. This will include a lavish dinner, learning how to play Go (an ancient Chinese board game), from Xinming Guo, the founder of the GoandMath Academy. We hope to see you there!
Just a reminder that Chinese Club's study session event is today, from 6-8 pm in pierson rooms B and C! Light refreshments, will be provided, as well as tutoring for Chinese classes. Hope to see you there!
Need to de stress during the home stretch? Feel free to stop by Chinese Club's study break in the Pierson rooms B and C from 6-8 Pm for complimentary snacks, and camaraderie! (Chinese language tutors will also be there). Hope to see you there!
While you may not be looking forward to finals, hopefully this will give you something to look forward to! Chinese club will be holding a study session on Tuesday, December 8th from 6-8pm in Pierson rooms B and C for people to come study for finals, and seek help from the Chinese language tutors. Snacks and lemonade will be provided. Hope to see you all there!

Hello Everyone! We hope you had a good summer break!
For anyone interested, we have two events planned so far for this fall:
On September 16th, from 10-10:50 Am, and 11 -12PM, a prominent Erhu player name Ting Li will be visiting the college during our normally scheduled Chinese classes, in Carnegie 304.
Ting has won numerous international and national competitions. In 2008, she performed at the Beijing Olympic Games closing ceremony. Recently, she also performed at the Chicago Symphony Hall with the SSO as a Soloist.

On September 21st, Professor of Psychology Emeritus John Jung will visit our college's Chinese classes from 10-11 AM, and 11 AM- 12 PM, in Carnegie 304. Prof.John Jung wrote 5 Books and has given over 100 talks on Chinese-American history after retiring as a Prof. of Psychology at California State University, located in Long Beach.

For those that are interested, the lion dance just started and will continue until 12:45!
We have two events today! To usher in the Lunar New Year, there will be a performance from the Chicago Shaolin Temple, as well as a Lion Dance, from 12-12:45. Additionally, we'll be hosting a party in the lounge of Cleveland Young, and be making dumplings to celebrate the new year! We hope to see you there!
