This is one of my proudest accomplishments because property taxes would have have not only increased, but they would have most likely gone through the roof in Chatham County and in every city in Chatham County without this agreement!
Major Announcement from
Dean Kicklighter
Chairman Pro-Tem
Chatham County Commission
Citizens of the 7th District,
After much thought and consideration about my future and the future of Chatham County, GA, I’ve determined that the upcoming four years could very well be the some of the most challenging times that we, the residents of the 7th District in West Chatham County will ever have to face.
We already have major problems when it comes to traffic congestion because of the unprecedented growth we’ve experienced but we are now facing a complete traffic disaster because of the growth that’s projected to occur within our area over the next few years.
The 7th District Commissioner will have to work with all of our state and federal representatives, and in addition, he or she will have to negotiate with the County Commission inorder to receive a substantial portion of the upcoming SPLOST revenues. The experience and ability to successfully do this will be essential in order to bring the money home to the 7th District so that we can make the necessary road improvements to not only the current traffic move, but to allow the projected traffic to move smoothly up and down our streets.
So after much consideration, I’ve determined that my experience, negotiating skills and fighters mentality is needed right now more than ever on this ever changing Chatham County Commission so I am proud to officially announce that I will be seeking reelection to be your Representative again as the 7th District Chatham County Commissioner.
We are about to face some major challenges so please send me back one more time because I have the experience and knowledge needed to solve the problems and I have the track record of success to back up these claims.
Thank you for allowing me to work for you and please vote for me so that I can continue working for you for the next four years.
Sincerely,
Dean Kicklighter
Chairman Pro-Tem
Chatham County Commission
