Naval Pantawid - 4P's

Today was the proudest moment of our most active and supernanay of Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4P's) here in Naval! Nay Francis Kinanahan Realista Talaña Congratulations nay! at last, tema najud! sa tanang kalisud ug challenges nga na encounter nay nalampusan nemo! Proud kaayu me sa emoha naabut! I know, mas labaw nga proud si tay Hermigildo ug ang emong onse (11) ka mga anak nga todo ang supporta sa emoha! You weren't able to finish High School due to family problem but because of dreams of wanting to have a higher degree of education, you enrolled yourself to ALS, able to pass the A&E last 2017, enrolled to college, and now nanay, College Graduate naka! Wala la damha inay! you did not let age hinder your dreams of becoming a professional... at age of 51, you were able to get a degree! Indeed, an exemplary mother! Sana there will be more 4P's nanays or children that will be inspired by your story and perseverance! Congratulations! 👏👏💐🏆❤️👩‍🎓🎈🎊🎉

A certain child beneficiary of 4P's from barangay Libtong, Naval, Biliran was caught stealing a cellular phone (Samsung Galaxy Flip3) worth 55,000 pesos in an SUV owned by Mr. Castin .. to immediately address the concern, the child and the biological father were sent by the PNP to MSWD office for counselling. This is a CICL case that needs immediate intervention to avoid further conflict and to remind parents of their role. Any wrongdoings of a child, the parents will always be held liable, and it was reiterated to the father. Also, reminded the father to always check activities of their children.

It was an aim of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program to provide financial assistance to the poor to sustain the educational, health and nutritional needs of the children so their future will be secured and the intergenerational cycle of poverty will end eventually through the program. The program alone cannot achieve its goal without active participation from different partner agencies both from government and non-government. And we are thankful to our stakeholders in Naval for being an active partner in terms of interfering cases such this. We have to address cases like this because it is a threat that this child might used of committing unlawful act which is a negative outcome.

With participation from MSWDO and PNP, we aim to iradicate cases of CICL because this is rampant in the municipality. Many were given counselling, case conferences, home visits even at night just to check children with CICL cases and counsell them right away. If someone encounter cases like this, kindly report it to proper agency for proper intervention.

A couple from barangay Catmon, Naval, Biliran came to 4P's office today to inform that they want to waive as program beneficiary.. was assess further and found out that the family can already provide the basic needs of the family especially the children and has regular support from family member. A waiver form and a Sulat ng Pagpapaubaya form were then signed by the grantee.

Last June 20, 2022, Monday afternoon, 1 household from barangay Calumpang, Naval, Biliran, a family of Melanie Cabalquinto as represented by the old grantee, Gloria Cabalquinto, has attended the Pugay Tagumpay Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4P's) Graduation Ceremony. Before the said graduation, a presentation of the status of the family was well presented by the ML, Mary Faye Celada during exit conference and sustainability planning conducted on the same date, wherein the household deserves to be awarded for a certificate because the Pamilya Cabalquinto has maintained their improved level of well-being or self-sufficiency from 2019 SWDI assessment up to 2022 SWDI administration.

LGU Naval, has offered scholarships to one of the children who will enroll to tertiary education soon, a skills training to some of the unemployed family member and a summer job for the monitored child, Eugene Cabalquinto.

Iba naman kasi talaga pag nasa field ka at nakakahalubilo mo sila..

54 4P's grantees has attended the Family Development Session with PNP today at Brgy. Calumpang, Naval, Biliran .. their discussion focus on Project Juana which is about women empowerment that aims about protecting women from abuses, providing support mechanism to womens who are vulnerable and women protection from all forms of exploitation.
