Dunnellon FFA Alumni
Past Dunnellon FFA Members & Current Supporters of Dunnellon FFA
Agriculture teachers rely on FFA alumni members to help ease the outside commitments of teaching, bring more support to agricultural education programs and give teachers more freedom to do what they do best - teach kids! FFA relies on alumni members for student recruiting, scholarship money, aiding in camps, conferences, state and national FFA conventions and other personal development programs. T
Does anyone have a outside doghouse? The DHS pig is need of hurricane protection.
Helene did do damage at the high school. Thankfully it could have been a lot worse.
Well Helene you did it to us good… this was our equipment barn and was built by students in the early 90s. It is now on the ground. No equipment was damaged.
Dunnellon FFA Alumni hosted the First Annual “Open Barn” for the Dunnellon FFA Chapters. Members and parents from Dunnellon Christian Academy, Dunnellon Middle School & Dunnellon High School were able to meet with their advisors and visit information booths for the upcoming year’s events and activities. We had over 75 in attendance! The agriculture future looks bright with Dunnellon FFA!

Florida Forest Service to conduct 3,300-acre burn on Goethe State Forest in Levy County during Prescribed Fire Awareness Week
DUNNELLON, Fla.– The Florida Forest Service – Waccasassa Forestry Center is planning a 3,300-acre prescribed burn on Goethe State Forest in Levy County on Monday, Jan. 29. The planned burn areas will be ignited by aerial ignition using a Florida Forest Service helicopter alongside crews on the ground. The Apex Trailhead will be closed for the duration of the burn. The burn may be rescheduled if weather conditions are unfavorable.
The burn area is located south of State Road 121, west of County Road 337, north of County Road 336 and east of U.S. Highway 19. Smoke is not predicted to impact any roadways, and there are no road closures planned during the burn. If you are in the southern portion of Goethe State Forest this week, be prepared to encounter smoke, fire personnel, and fire equipment. If you encounter smoke on the roads, lower your speed, turn on your low beams, and remain vigilant.
Monday’s prescribed burn is taking place during Florida’s annual Prescribed Fire Awareness Week, Jan. 28 – Feb. 3, which highlights the importance and benefits of prescribed fire burning in Florida’s lands and forests.
