The Philharmonix Ensemble Releases New Album, “Vol. 3” The multi-genre septet has released their third album on Deutsche Grammophon.

The Philharmonix: Melan­cho­lisch, tänze­risch und derb The Philharmonix, das siebenköpfige Ensemble aus Mitgliedern der Berliner und Wiener Philharmoniker, spielt Arrangements von der Klassik über Jazz bis zu Rock.

Celebrating our new album 💿 release with our wonderful audience! We had a wonderful time playing our first subscription concert of the season called ‘Nordlicht’, featuring music and influences from the north. Next time in Vienna it will be a special show for the Silvester Gala on December 31st!

𝗙𝗮𝗹𝗰𝗼 & 𝗠𝗼𝘇𝗮𝗿𝘁

Unter dem Titel "𝗥𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗲𝗺 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗙𝗮𝗹𝗰𝗼" hat das Wiener/Berliner Ensemble Philharmonix eine bemerkenswerte Hommage geschaffen. Es scheint so, als würde dieses "Requiem for Falco" so mitten im Sommer aus heiterem Himmel fallen. Dabei spielt der Faktor Zeit hier tatsächlich eine grenzüberschreitende Rolle.

Das Musikstück verbindet die melodischen Elemente von "Rock Me Amadeus" mit klassischer Musik des Meisters. Die anfängliche Traurigkeit geht sehr schnell über in ein temperamentvolles Furioso, das vielmehr sprühende Lebendigkeit hervorruft als Tränen. Falco und Mozart sind auf einer Linie, könnte man meinen.

In diesem vierminütigen Requiem findet eine zeitlose Begegnung der beiden wesensverwandten und doch so unterschiedlichen Genies statt, die auch im Video kunstvoll umgesetzt wird. Die surreal anmutenden Bilder unterstreichen das Phänomen der Zeitlosigkeit, in der die Klangbilder beider Ausnahmekünstler auf eigene Weise verschmelzen.

Eine berührend nachdenkliche Würdigung, die ganz ohne Mozartperücke auskommt und doch deutlich macht, worum es geht. Falco würde sich in seiner Sehnsucht, als Künstler (und nicht nur als Popstar) ernst genommen zu werden, heute geehrt fühlen. ✨😎

The Vienna Berlin Music Club – so nennen sich die Philharmonix Gegründet von Mitgliedern der Berliner und Wiener Philharmoniker, spielen die Philharmonix alles, worauf sie schon immer Lust hatten. Ihr Markenzeichen: brillante Arrangements, unvergleichliche Virtuosität und vor allem ungebremste Lust am gemeinsamen Musizieren, die in Sekundenschnelle auf den Zuhörer überspringt.

Das stilistische Mischungsverhältnis setzt sich dabei nach neuesten Hochrechnungen aus 30 % Klassik, 20 % Jazz, je 15 % Folk, Pop und Latin sowie 5 % aus anderen Genres zusammen. Nicht alles ist also klassische Musik. Aber alles hat musikalische Klasse.
