It's been a rough week, so we wanted to give you a little something to rock out to while you're waiting for our next EP to drop. So we resurrected an utterly awesome cover we did back during quarantine. Retracked, remastered and reanimated!

Mother (Danzig Cover) - The Deathtones As horror punks, we absolutely love Danzig, so when we were stuck in quarantine in 2020 and were doing a few cover songs to stay sane, this was one of them. ...

Due to a combination of a lot of different things going wrong all at once, we've had to regrettably cancel our show this Friday in Milford, PA. Over the course of the last 24 hours, we've had vendors as well as several people in key production positions for the event back out. (This isn't a call-out post. We've talked to most of these people and understand why they had to back out, so there's no bad blood. It just sucks.)

We hate doing this. All we want to do is play for you and party with you, but we want to do it right, and us trying to constantly put out fires the week and night of the event would severely limit our ability to put on the show you deserve to see. We are so incredibly sorry that this had to happen, but like the Terminator or basically anyone who dies in a zombie movie, "we'll be back." 🎃

For generations, we've sat around the campfire and told spooky stories to entertain, inform and warn others. It's a part of the fabric of being a human. Well we started our own video podcast doing just that! Coming very soon, say hello to "Sunday Night Scare"! Wow! Summer really flew by this year! Not only have we added two more souls to our ranks with Dante Malone on keys and Mrs. Grim as our DJ, but we have a NEW SONG releasing TODAY!

In the world of horror literature there are few authors who can keep up with the breakneck pace that Mark Tufo sets. Like The Deathtones, he always has something good cooking in the background, just waiting to see the light of day. Rev. Bones fell down the "Tufo rabbit hole" a year or so ago and has become a voracious reader of his "Zombie Fallout" series, which tells the story of a man and his family trying to survive during the zombie apocalypse. This series, however, has a lot more to it than just flesh eating shamblers. Much like AMC's "The Walking Dead", zombies are an ever-present threat, but it's Tufo's well constructed characters and dynamic prose that take center stage, running the reader through a veritable gamut of emotional reactions.

After becoming enamoured with the works of Mr. Tufo, Rev. Bones started writing the outline for a new song that would pay tribute to this author and the Zombie Fallout series, much like the band did regarding the works of the legendary Stephen King in their EP "Hail To The King" from 2022.

Introducing... Dante Malone

A prodigy in the world of classical music. By the age of 10 he would play and improve upon some of the most famous musical pieces of all time. Bach, Chopin, Rachmaninoff and even the legendary Ludwig Van Beethoven couldn't hold a candle to the young man's flourishing talent. This boon, however, had a dark side. The extreme amounts of stress put upon Dante became too much and one night he snapped, taking a razor sharp strand of piano wire and brutally murdered his mentor. After that day, he never spoke another word, yet would sing to himself in his cell at the Fernhill Mental Asylum. One night during a power outage, he managed to escape and now the wordless, brooding hulk of a man commands the keyboards in The Deathtones, relishing the bloody memory of his past with every note he plays.

Introducing.... Mr. Grim

Hailing from a remote town in Southern Texas, the undead luchador, Mr. Grim held every title belt and defeated every opponent in his short time with the "Federacion Internacional de Lucha Libre" in Tijuana. Accomplishing his life's goal, he needed a new challenge. He traveled deep into the jungles of South America and crossed paths with a mysterious priest. Bound by a shared love for the macabre and a desire to defy the realms of the living and the dead, they united to form the darkest, bloodiest and most electrifying band of all time, The Deathtones.

Let me introduce you to...Reverend Billy Bones.

He hails from the dark backwoods of the Appalachian Mountains. After spending decades traveling abroad and studying mysticism, the occult, music and theology, he became an ordained minister. A few short years later, now disenfranchised with the faiths of the world the reverend, along with his demonic partners formed The Deathtones, as to bring a new wave of fear, horror and darkness to a genre long bereft of glory. Hail Horror Metal!

Mr. Grim here. I started the carnivore diet March 1st. That with my excercise routine(that I did prior to carnivore as well) totally changed my body, mind, and life. I've always been a bigger guy and always had a bad relationship with food. So this is huge. My clothes haven't been this size since I was in middle school.

Too good not to share. That's about what Mr. Grim looks like. Haha
