This was a fun as well as a pleasant surprise. For those wondering, that center stone is a rough sapphire. We knew this would turn out unusual, but when you're trying something for the 1st time, you just never know.

It's definitely a different spin on our usual single station bracelet, but I'm smitten. Love the color combo. I love the bulbous, unusual shape of the stone. And since we have each 18k yg bezel custom made, it was so fun to see how it envelops the stone.

This is a purely selfish post today. I talk a lot about being strong and resilient, courageous and bold, brave and steadfast. I stand by all of that, when I share the message of what my interpretation is of being bulletproof.

But let's just touch, for a moment, on a softer side. And perhaps a more honest illumination of reality.To me this image is beautiful. Absolutely stunning. To me, it screams bold and resilient, courageous and strong. But it's simultaneously naked (literally) and vulnerable, tender and emotional.

Lets be honest, life is fluid. Always moving, always flowing. It's up it's down, it's calm and then chaotic.

Much like the ebbs and flows of life, we as human beings are constantly changing, moving, pivoting, growing. We can be strong and vulnerable at the same time. This is truly how I'm feeling today, and in this particular"moment in time". Emotional and confident. Grieving loss while nurturing growth. It's complex in its simplicity. What more can I say. This is the message I sincerely hope we are presenting. Today....

If I were asked to choose my favorite piece of Gold and Smoke jewelry, first I would say, " Well, I simply couldn't. It's like asking which one of your children is your favorite. Sidenote: No one asked. 2nd sidenote: I dont have human children, just dogs (and yes, I have a favorite!)

But I do have favorite pieces of my own jewelry designs. This small signet ring definitely sits at the top of the list.

A flattened bullet is an anomaly. For a bullet to flatten and remain in tact is unusual and requires a handful of occurrences to unfold in perfect synchronicity. Kinda like you and me.

Is there some cool pre made chain out in the world? Sure. I'm a fan of the rolo and some curb, even a mariners', on occasion.

However, up for the challenge to find a chain that's equal parts bold while simultaneously elegant, we decided to R and D our hearts out to see if we could create a perfect chain.

Years in the making, but we have designed a chain link that meets all of our criteria for cool. Our custom link chain is now available in solid 18k yellow gold.
