I just love the color blue. I know I said before that my favorite color is “the rainbow” but if my life depended on me picking just ONE favorite color, then it would be blue. And isn’t that an odd thought to imagine someone saying, “I won’t shoot if you tell your favorite color right NOW”. Anyways, I digress…

So thinking about the color blue gives me flashbacks to circa September 2012 when I was just weeks away from our wedding and having a complete meltdown about our colors. I had chosen navy and pink. I spent 18 months planning our wedding around the colors navy and pink. Then randomly one night I looked at a swatch of our bridesmaids dresses and realized they were a shade I would best describe as peacock, not navy at all!! I called my cousin in utter panic and she lovingly talked me off the ledge, reminding me that all shades of blue look beautiful together and reassured me that the wedding would be perfect. She was right.

I don’t think i’ve ever met a shade of blue that I haven’t liked. From navy, to turquoise, and yes even peacock. Maybe thats why I have blue siding and blue kitchen cabinets. I wasn’t lying when I said I love blue. I think of blue as a neutral color that goes well with all decor styles!

So let’s celebrate tax day together, whether you are feeling blue because uncle Sam took all your money (affordable retail therapy to the rescue), or you have a few extra dollars to spend.. i’ve got you covered. I might even throw in a few dog related items in honor of our favorite good boy, Bluey.
