Big weekend for the Hoos representing Team USA at the Palmer Cup.
Palmer Cup Play Starts Friday for Sambach and James Virginia golfers Amanda Sambach (Pinehurst, N.C.) and Ben James (Milford, Conn.) begin play for the United States team at the 28th Arnold Palmer Cup matches on Friday. This year’s event is hosted by Lahinch Golf Club located on the west coast of Ireland.

Virginia Men’s Golf Announces 2024-25 Schedule Every year UVA men’s golf coach Bowen Sargent looks for two components to build the Cavaliers’ schedule – top-flight competition and outstanding venues. Sargent announced the team’s 2024-25 slate today (June 14) and it fits the bill.
Catch all things UVA men’s golf with head coach Bowen Sargent; discussing the national championship at La Costa, Ben James qualifying for the U.S. Open, the assistant coach, and next year’s season.

Four Cavaliers Earn All-America Honors For the first time in program history, Virginia had four golfers named to the PING All-America squad for the 2024 season. Joining first-team All-American Ben James were Bryan Lee, George Duangmanee and Josh Duangmanee. That trio earned honorable mention honors.
Great job by the squad. This is the 13th time UVA Men's Golf has posted a perfect score (1000) in one of the NCAA's annual Academic Progress Rate reports!

Ben James Qualifies for U.S. Open Virginia first-year men’s golfer Ben James (Milford, Conn.) has been named a PING first-team All-American by the Golf Coaches Association of America. It marks the second consecutive year he has received the honor. Last season he became the first Cavalier to earn first-team All-America honors.
