Howdie ya’ll! I know I don’t keep up with social media all that well, but I assure you, abOuT you wellness is alive and well! With that being said, it’s time for abOuT you wellness to give back to all of you during these hard times ... you, who have given me so much ☺️

Being organized... it’s amazing how being organized in our daily tasks can help us feel organized in our daily life. Laundry used to be such a task to me,but now, it’s a joy (no joke!) because I am organized in how I do it! It might sound ridiculous but, laundry gets done, gets dried, and put into the basket. Once the basket is full, it’s folding time! I used to let it pile up in the spare bedroom, and that soon became the family laundry closet. Need a pair of socks? Go check the spare bedroom... ugh... it made it so not fun and I always dreaded going into that part of our house! The sense of empowerment that comes with organization is incredible to me! When building our home with we decided that everything had to have it’s place So we could feel organized, as a family, throughout our days! It makes a world of difference to my mental health. At , organization is a key component to how I work with clients to achieve their goals! If you feel organized in your goals, I guarantee that will extend to other parts of your life!
Mental health... depression... two heavy, heavy words that weigh, not only on the person, but on all those who surround them. If you know someone who just can’t leave their house, has no interest in engaging in activity, sleeps allll the time, is fatigued and has no energy, despite sleeping all the time, often references themselves as worthless or useless, reach out ☺️Occupational therapists are uniquely qualified to help by helping a person focus on the meaningful roles in their life, helping them build healthy behaviours, learn adaptive skills, aid them with activation and so much more! What is wellness? It’s when you sleep right, move right, eat right, and stress right, right? Many of my clients become overwhelmed with ´ what is the RIGHT plan for me ´? Life is complicated enough, don’t let wellness be complicated too! My advice? Make sure you make a day full of right choices (vegetables! Early bedtime! Meditation! Get together with friends! Exercise!) with only a couple of wrong choices (a handful of chips! Losing your temper! Not being kind! Staying up to watch ANOTHER Netflix episode of _________), and you will achieve wellness! Not sure if you’re choice is a right one or a wrong one? Ask! That’s what is all about! First half-hour session is complimentary, so, ask away!

Any guesses on how long it took me to make 6 bottles of homemade cleaner? Cleaner that is non-toxic, smells amazzzzzzing when you add a touch of lemongrass and tea tree oil, and completely devoid of harmful chemicals (did you know some cleaners can be endocrine disrupters!?!😳) 8 minutes! That’s it! The peace of mind that comes when Jenna licks the floor (oh ya, that happens...😣) is worth every penny. Oh but wait! It wayyyyyyy cheaper than store bought cleaners!! Win win win!
About you wellness is ‘all about’ learning the importance of, and how to prioritize sleep, nutrition, movement and mindfulness. This picture was a moment where I was able to fit in 2/4 and it felt so good!
