Matador is a Swedish team, racing with their Elliot 44 CR aiming at completing some of the most well known - and legendary ocean races including Sydney 2 Hobart, Fastnet Race, Middle Sea Race, 600 Caribbean and Newport to Bermuda to name a few.
Matador is now for sale😀 She is in excellent condition and fully race ready! Located in France. Matador has served us well and we have enjoyed fantastic races like Sydney Hobart, Fastnet Race, 600 Caribbean, Middle Sea Race and Newport to Bermuda with podium positions in many of the races Matador has started in. She is strong and highly reliable and very allround for heavy seas offshore races as well as light wind round the cans racing: https://ancasta.com/boats-for-sale/used/sail/elliott/44/42284/?fbclid=IwAR2YswYI6jU09nACvBUm6Hrsq-vsC18J71tF7TiYWIkuVG_FLUmHNz6PWs0

Giraglia - one of the most beautiful races we have done and we came 2nd in our class after all the races during the week was counted.
Short coastal from San Remo to St Tropéz where there were 3 days of inshore racing before starting the longer offshore leg from St Tropéz to Genoa via the small island of Giraglia north of Corsica.
Modest to no winds. Great competition, lots of really cool boats and a wonderful scenary.
It could not have been a better way to end our season as we are putting racing with Matador on hold for a while🤔
Start of the offshore leg of Giraglia shortly. 215 nm from St Tropéz to Genoa passing the island Giraglia. Light winds but beautiful sailing. Our progress can be followed here:
After the first race last weekend, we are now participating in the ORC - Mediterranean Championship. It started yesterday - and all racing was suspended due to lack of wind…. And today - we for more wind than we asked for with 25-30 kts of wind. One race done before race office suspended racing due to - too much wind…. Anyway - great to be racing in the waters around Sorrento. Could not be better really. Maybe some stable and reasonable wind would be nice but all in - we enjoy sailing here. Hopefully more races to follow later today and tomorrow.
More pictures from the race💫
