Ensemble Jeng Yi
"slick, polished, talented and vastly entertaining" The Globe & Mail Ensemble Jeng Yi is a Korean drum and dance ensemble based in Toronto.
The group performs an exciting repertoire of original compositions, dance works, and traditional pieces. The members of the group perform primarily on four percussion instruments: two types of leather drums and two types of metal gongs. A big 감사합니다 to the folks at for giving us a warm Prince Edward County welcome! A noontime performance followed by a delicious lunch, washed down with craft beer at ! The festival has an eclectic mix of programming. Check them out. Prince Edward County is closer to Toronto than you think!

After weighing a number of factors, and out of an abundance of caution for all participants and patrons we have made the difficult decision to CANCEL TODAY’S SUMMER SHOW, JUNE 24.
We apologize for this disappointing news, but we hope many of you can join us on our make-up date—Saturday July 15. We envision beautiful sunny skies on that day!

Though we’ve had some good times off stage, wining and dining, it’s been 3 years since our last official Ensemble Jeng Yi “end-of-the-year boys night out”. Here we are: good meal, good conversation, good times. Happy Holidays everyone! See everyone in 2023!

We composed the song “Rustic Sun” in 2003. Recorded it for an album in 2004. Performed it many times since then, and finally, in 2022, we have made a music video for it. These are production stills from the shoot.

After two summers of cancellations, Ensemble Jeng Yi is pleased to announce the return of the Ironflower Drummers to . Come join us for some Korean drumming and stay for the workshop! August 27 Saturday at Lee Lifeson Art Park. Rain date: Sept 03.
