Happy 80th to Keith Richards! And happy 40th wedding anniversary to Keith & his wife Patti.
I have been fortunate enough to go here in person, and I’m just thrilled they offer virtual tours! Check this out to learn about the blues. Their post is copied below.
Have y’all seen the Delta Blues Museum’s new Virtual Tours? Y’all can learn Blues stories like what instrument Pinetop Perkins played before settling into the piano, and why he made the switch. The best part - y’all can listen to these stories as told by Blues performers like Andrew “Shine” Turner. Thank you to local filmmaker, Coop Cooper, for filming and producing these Virtual Tours!

I love to share music from musicians/artists I adore. I just discovered this group Cloudbelly via a post by Lisa Bastoni who is an amazing songwriter and artist in Massachusetts. She created this stop motion lyric video for their song "November" which is a really rad song if I do say so myself. Lisa's art is incredible! Check it out! Give them a like and a follow too. I am curious where you personally find out about new music and/or new artists. For instance, is it listening to Spotify and getting suggested artists you might like? Is it going to local shows? Do you find new artists and music on You Tube? Trending songs on Tik Tok & you look up more songs by the artist? Do your friends tell you about artists you should listen to? Is it all of these methods? I’m genuinely curious to hear people’s answers. I’m asking about you individually, not “everybody does xyz.”
**A quick note…I’m not looking for commentary on the state of the music industry or the streaming platforms and their evils. That’s another topic for another time. I am simply asking “where are people going to learn about new music and artists.” Keep that in mind when replying please.**

Love this. It is so true. Take imperfect action. I’ve always learned the most doing just this.
Songwriter recognition! Happy for Tracy and hopefully country fans who think Luke Combs wrote it are educated that this woman did. And she used to busk in Harvard Sq. when she was a student at Tufts back in the day! https://www.facebook.com/share/L3av2b8aRBoveBgh/?mibextid=tXQI6B

Fun Spotted Tiger show at Toad. Great tunes and a great time. 🎶🎶🎶🎶 Live music is truly medicine, especially after a rough and trying day.
I have to give a big shout out to Kristina Latino for doing such a great job leading the Passim School of Music’s “Essential Accounts for Musicians” workshop last night. I learned so much about PROs, various music licenses, accounts that help musicians collect royalties beyond the PROs, and accounts to build more of a following and engage with fans when releasing music. Thank you, Kristina, for sharing your expertise with us. Kristina is an artist manager who reps such musicians as Mark Erelli and Alisa Amador. I highly recommend any beginning songwriters or songwriters who find the whole landscape confusing take her workshop if offered again at Passim.
Thank you to Tom Bianchi for the free tickets at the Burren in Somerville to see Heron Valley. They were great. A new group to me. I really liked their mix of traditional and contemporary styles of Celtic music. They performed both original music and a few covers.

Another bucket list artist seen…BRUUUUUUUCCE! He is such an amazing songwriter & performer. He put on a great show. 73 years old, 3 hrs of non-stop music—I am telling you…I’ve been blessed to see some of the legends in music who are still killing it in their elder years. Give me a shot of whatever they are taking to still be awesome and kicking some of the younger folks’ booties when it comes to putting on a show. Thank you to my brother, sister-in-law, and oldest niece for taking me. And now I am about to go to sleep in my two younger nieces’ room while they are at Grandmom’s and I am surrounded by Barbies. 💕💖
I am overwhelmed with emotion. My teacher, mentor, and friend, Janet Feld Greene, performed my song I wrote, “Drombeg Stone Circle”, at the Drombeg Stone Circle in Ireland. I wrote this song after traveling to Ireland with Janet and a small group of musicians last year who have become friends. We visited this mystical site and Janet led us through a guided meditation which really touched my soul in a way I had not experienced before. The result was this song. I am so honored Janet sang my song at the site that inspired it. It is my goal to go back to Ireland and sing it at Drombeg. I hope you enjoy it.
Thank you Janet Feld Greene for sending a photo of this sign from Una’s Cafe in Inis Oirr. Una & her husband were a highlight of our Ireland trip, last year. This sign is everything and speaks to my current life’s journey. Yes, a million times. ❤️
This is the absolute cutest and sweetest thing I have ever received at a gig. Some little children who were playing and running around at the concert came up at the end of my show and said “we made this bouquet for you.” ❤️😭🥰 Little kids rock.

“You are the light. Never let anyone—any person or any force—dampen, dim or diminish your light. …Release the need to hate, to harbor division, and the enticement of revenge. Release all bitterness. Hold only love, only peace in your heart, knowing that the battle of good to overcome evil is already won.”

Good morning, friends! What a gorgeous day for the Boston Children's Hospital Walk. I'm getting ready to head to the Hatch Shell. I'll be walking in honor of my best friend Paul Krasinkewicz. I have been participating in this walk for over 15 years in his honor because I remember well how much he was helped by their medical services while he was battling CF. It is a way I can give back and say "thank you" to Children's for helping my friend when he was alive as well as countless other families and children in need of their services. I figured I'd put out a last call for help with my fundraising efforts. If you would like to contribute in memory of Paul, I will provide a link in the comments where you will be able to do so. Thank you in advance for your support.
